So is an oven.
Not quite. We hit a hundred a few times a year but there is usually a breeze along with it. Convection oven, maybe? Certainly Traeger-esque during fire season, getting smoked out and all. Nothing like the humid heat I have experienced in San Antonio in August is what I meant by that though.

Ahhhh! But the humid heat doesn't tend to wrinkle the skin quite so badly.

Or allow one to breath, or sleep, or dry off after a shower. Speaking of drying off, hows the homestead coming along? You receiving any of that, "its not a tropical storm" tropical storm? Stay safe down there!

hi tami

have been meaning to ask, do you have vacant walls?

maybe you like vacant walls?

sending a painting is cost prohibitive, with shipping costs. But if you'd like, just if you'd like [no offense if you say "no"] i could see what drawings and etchings i have left. I could send them not framed to you, as a house-re-warming gift

i think i have all these still, but will need to check

This man:
Came up with a solution for that problem more than 100 years ago.

The problem with air con is you have to be inside for it to work, so you are going from air con house to air con car to air con work and back again. Dont get me wrong, I like air con as much as everyone else, I just love being outside without having to pack my air conditioner around with me. If the weather person uses "oppressive" to describe the weather outside, I'm out.

Our air conditioners have been working overtime. The few days of rain helped a lot, but it's gone now and going back to the upper 90s again with high humidity.

Our rain isn't gone yet and the AC was being used during because the humidity is cloying. Today during the rain it only dropped to 86%.

I know. It's miserable. You guys just 2 hours east of me always get hammered with a lot more rain.

Hate to say it but we needed it desperately! The dirt was pulled back 2" from the foundation. Everything back to normal now.

Did I mention that I planted a navel orange over where the chooks are buried? Have had enough rain that it seems to have bedded well. And 5 years of chook poo in the soil should help
That's great. I hope you get a ton of oranges.

Yes, but at least two of three things you mentioned, "breath, or sleep, or dry off after a shower" are generally done indoors.

Being in Florida at the moment, I do know a thing or two about humidity. :D
