In the Javanese tradition, a mosquito drowning itself in a cup of decaf coffee is usually (almost always) considered to be indicative of an impending bout of hiccups to be endured by either the person who's coffee it is or a close relative.

but then you pro'ly knew that, and were just dismissing the obvious for the sake of conversation.

I was agonizing over spending $ for new batteries for my GigaPunch. Then I bought my wife a new sweing maching for Christmas.

I might still get new batteries. Anyone know if they've come out with a fresh batch of brown batts or if I should just get the latest VTC6?

How much current you pulling?

FWIW, I'm not that impressed with my VTC6s (run single, with a 0.5 ohm load).

Interesting. Panasonic has historically been on the high end with mAh capacity, but not in terms of CDR.

If I were pulling 30A, I'd get Sammy 20S cells.

Thank you Rossum! :thumb:

I've always liked Sammy's for how hard they hit. Fresh batt's on their way. :w00t:

My punch rarely leaves my hand and its never been dropped (knock on pinch wood) but in the event I do have to put it in my pocket, its nice to know it will get warm before I get a dual battery suprise.

I tried them all at one point (had $ to experiment) but I'm not well read these day's. Mooch had good things to say too... :D

Now, back to 2 jobs and no time to think.

Hi everyone

And thanks again Rossom.

I don't mean to knock Orbtronic. I like them as a vendor and have bought quite a few batteries, flashlights, and chargers from them, but I don't think 3120 mAh at 30A CDR is a realistic or plausible rating. One of those two is likely over-stated, and I'd guess it's the CDR.

Keepin folks on their toes by changing the answer to "what time is it" by an hour except for in Arizona, excepting the exception for the bit of Arizona that the Navajo run, which does change, and except for some of the best bits like Hawaii and Guam, and I think perhaps New Jersey which may only change by 45 minutes.

so, with absolutely nothing interesting happening in the USA in the next few days...

whatchadoin?
