Snake season only lasts a few weeks here. Late September to early October. And ours are really shy, and as bee says "Dorky"
We have sidewinders in the dunes. No season and they're not shy.
AND shy snakes aside, you have a plethora of nasty critters that can maim and kill or just make you wish you were dead. I'll take the sidewinders, copperheads and a couple of nasty spiders over that any day. I've had always wanted to move to Australia and the hubby and I even discussed it years ago then Steve Erwin came along and educated us and never mind! I'm a chicken.
