# 8 He taught me how to drive on a Sunday afternoon in his little Fiat when I was 6 and my feet barely touched the pedals, on a soccer field and I ran us into the goal net.... what a wonderful memory

# 9 My Dad was a fireman and so he worked many 24 hour shifts. When I would get in trouble , which happened rather often my mother would say just wait until your Dad gets home. My poor Dad had to listen to her tirade and then come deal with me, lots of times being very tired and smelling of smoke.... he used to come to my room, take off his belt and say : "make it count"... he would hit the dresser with his belt and I would scream after the crack... we got away with this for many years. I think I only got 4 spankings in my life by my Dad but I remember each and every one and they were all well deserved.

#27 I think we're doing it wrong. I think they meant "number your entry one number higher than the previous entry" as opposed to everyone making their first entry #1. Therefore, I have simply picked a lucky number.

I love my Dad because he put up with a lot of crap from me, with a pretty even keel, from which I learned, eventually, to be likewise bulletproof.
