1.25ohm Smoktech dual coil cartomizer not hitting well?

So I bought some 1.25 ohm dual coils to go with my K-GO I ordered and I'm just not getting that "clouds of vapor" everyone else seems to be enjoying. The vapor production is no where near the standard cartos on the volt/bloog and the taste is also very lacking. The throat hit is good and the vapor is warm but I'm pretty dissatisfied. I filled them up soaking wet, blew em out and refilled them and still not really hitting well.

Am I doing something wrong? Would I be better off with 2 ohm boges or 1.5ohm dual coils? I was really expecting a nice satisfying vapor but right now I'm enjoying my refilled volt cartomizers much more.

The juice I'm using is Wiked vapor RY4, same stuff I'm using to refill the volt/bloog cartomizers and I'm getting much better flavor and vapor production on the volt stuff.

I ordered some 1.5 ohm dual coils and am hoping they work better than the 1.25 ohm on the KGO. The 1.25s produce a very warm almost flavorless vapor even when very full of juice.

What are the best cartos at 3.7 for flavor and vapor?

You may want to try a TRUE 3.7 Volt device with those 1.25Ohm cartos. Egos and such are actually 3.2 to 3.5 devices.

I'm using them on my P16 with AW IMR 16340 batteries, and I'm also rather disappointed by their performance. I was expecting so much more from them. At best, they're slightly below the Boge 2.0 that I've been using in regards to vapor and flavor. But they also drain batteries fast, I only get about 4 hours from a 16340 with them.

Unless my math is totally screwed up (which is certainly possible), they should be producing more watts than the Boge 2.0. But they certainly don't feel like it. Even though they test at around 1.25 ohms, they're certainly performing like a higher ohm carto. Or maybe the IMR 16340's just can't handle the amps needed? Although I thought that was the whole point of IMR batteries...
I picked up 30 of them, I think I'm going to just stick them in a drawer to try on a higher volt device once I get around to buying one.

The individual coils are not LR like they are on the Boge.

1.6ohm dc does well at 4,2v.
I was hoping 1.25 dc would do well at 3.7v; need a 3 amp capable PV.
Are you set up to measure volts under load w/ the 1.25ohm to verify PV is producing needed current?

I'm using it on a Super T Manufacturing Precise, which is an all mechanical device. I'm not quite sure how to measure voltage under load, but I can give it a shot if someone can tell me how.

MV sells an inline voltmeter but they may be out of stock.
You can make something out of an old batt and old atty but takes some time.
I would think your IMR batts and precise would pass enough current.
Any chance the switch contact is dirty?
Not sure why your 1.25ohm DC isn't smokin hot?

I think I've figured out the problem. I took one apart today to see what was happening inside. The first thing I noticed, was two holes burned in the filler material. The coils themselves were also charred, and the wick material was actually melted and fused with the coils. <see attached pic>

I definitely had kept it wet enough, so the only other alternative I can think of is that they simply couldn't wick the juice fast enough. I use DIY Flavorshack juices, which are pretty thick and will kill a Boge carto in 2 or 3 days. But I just love the flavor of Dawn's juices, best I've ever had.

The interesting part though, is that I didn't get any burnt taste at all...

I clean the contacts with brass cleaner once a week. I also clean the threads, and reapply fresh noalox once a week as well.

I'm thinking your liquid does not wick fast enough to keep diaper wet.
