I was only stacking it in the first place because I thought it would make the battery last longer (also I don't like mini-mode) But now I've learned that you need a single 18650 2000mah one for charging and one for vaping is the way to go. Honestly, running 2 batteries ran out of bat just as fast as it would with 1 battery in there. So stacked batteries accomplished nothing. IT ran out just as fast as it would with 1 (correct me if i'm wrong I'm getting this info from IRC) and it just killed both batteries instead of killing one as it would in single mode
Edit: Took 1 battery out (only doing this once and never again) Because I was dying for my nicotine fix read 3.5V and vaped just fine. I'm using single battery now until I get a 18650 because if it doesn't make the charge last 2x as long forget it. It accomplished nothing a pointless thing

That is basically correct Krogan. Honestly, I never saw a benefit to running stacked batteries in the Vamo so didn't do it. I run it in single 18350 mode as I like the size much better and have run it in 18650 when needed more battery life. I'm not saying there may not be a benefit to running the stacked, just that there wasn't for the way I vape with that particular device.

The only real benefit to running stacked batteries in the Vamo is as crxess said above - if you are vaping at a high voltage.

The boost circuit in the Vamo struggles when you set it higher than about 5.0v. PBusardo on youtube has a pretty good video explaining the numbers and why stacked batteries will perform better for higher wattage vaping. Numbers start at 23:00.

Right on InTheShade, I watched that before I bought my V5. What I found was that I tend to not vape 1.3 and higher ohm devices above say 4.5v so "it never made sense to me" to use the stacked 18350s in the device.

When I want/need power on a subohm RDA I use my Duke which runs stacked 18650s ;-).

Spot on though and very helpful vid to explain the differneces for anyone thinking of running stacked batteries in any device! Thanks for digging it up and posting.
