Hi, so i'm almost ready to start making my first batch of e-liquid, (pharmacy actually had 1 liter of PG in stock, flavorless liquid + drams of lorann on the way from ebay)

but i really do not want to make a gigantic stock of liquid. Instead, i'm planning on making several bottles of 12mg/ml nicotine+pg solution, then adding drams of Loranns as i go.

So my question is, is there a good ratio of dram-to-(ml)PG/nicotine that people use? this way i can make a good number of flavors, and i can make it simple by just adding 1 or 2 drams of flavor into small, separate bottles of pg/nic. On a side note, i'll be making a 400ml stock solution of 12mg/ml pg/nic to mix with various flavors

thanks.

PS: is PG safe to freeze? i don't trust my roommates/friends enough to leave a large stock of this in my refrigerator...i'm also known to store a lot of brandy (which looks exactly like e-liquid) in my fridge as well, and i'd like to avoid confusion (and possibly being responsible for someone's death). i just think my freezer would be a safer/more effective way to store this stuff.

Well, there are 8 drams to an ounce. 1 ounce = 30 ml. 30/8= 3.75 ml per dram.

I personally use around 20% lorann's in my mixes, but I like the flavor strong. I'd add a dram to around 18 ml of liquid.

Your mileage may vary.

I don't know about freezing. I just keep my liquids in a cool dark cabinet... currently in my desk.

Sounds good. i like more of a light flavor, so i'll probably go with 1 dram per 20-25. thanks for the general idea though.

Also, i've noticed that you usually use both glycerin and PG in your recipes walrus, is this totally neccessary, or just a personal preference thing? i'm probably going to run to the pharmacy to pick up my PG soon to dilute the current liquid that i have (24mg is way too strong for a first liquid), so i guess i'm wondering if i should pick up some glycerin as well.

It depends on how much I'm cutting it. If I'm cutting less than 50%, I'll just use Glycerine. If I'm cutting more than that, I limit the Glycerine to 40-50% and use PG for the rest. Too much glycerine makes the liquid too thick to wick properly.

You don't have to use glycerine at all... but it thickens the vapor, making for a better 'cloud'.
