Hey gang ive visited this site for quite somewhile now looking over reviews and advise and figured id register. I'm 1 month smoke free now thanks to the eleaf istick30w and melo subohm tank. Now for the questions... lol

I started with a kanger pro tank 2 was really tight draw and hardly any vapor so i bought myself the eleaf melo. Huge improvement but the flavor just seems muted on most flavors i try. Okay here's my question. I'm looking into the Lemo drop on my 30w istick i Vape 80vg 20pg will this be a improvement over the melo flavor.

My vape settings are. 30watts wide open melo, 4.2volts lots of vapor with hints of flavor. when i adjust my airflow for less on the melo at 30watts the flavor goes up just slightly but not a huge amount.. will the RTA the lemo drop provide that flavor iam looking for and will the coils and wicking last longer? I drive for a living so dripping is out due to leaking so i need a tank . any advise is welcome and thanks for checking out my post.

Id also like to note that iam a heavy vape user. :vapor:

I have a Lemo drop. I actually prefer the small Subtanks...

The flavour seems good on the Lemo, but the Melo uses factory coils (?), so I can't see them being the same.

I guess we need to hear from some members how they find the flavour on Lemos/Melos and hope somebody has both.

It will be easier to re-wick a Lemo than almost anything I can think of... they really are easy.

At one month smoke free your taste buds may just now be starting to "reset". It sounds like you have a good set-up and are usually it properly. Check around the site for suggestions regarding "flavor fade" or "vapers tongue". I used to cleanse my palette with a pickle or some candied ginger, then swish my mouth out with water before a vaping session and it helped me taste my juice. Also, smelling some fresh ground coffee or other strong aroma that was different than the flavor of my juice made a difference. I also had two or three tanks at that time, each filled with a different flavor ejuice and I switched between them periodically during the course of the day. If I remember correctly, the problem went away after a few days.

Also is there a reason my coils/wick are only lasting 2 days tops? 0.5 ohms 30watts. 80vg 20 pg 18mg nic. I mainly vape ry4 from mt baker vapor.

High Vg is going to gunk up coils faster than a 50/50 or higher Pg ratio, as Vg is thicker in viscosity and is a natural sweetener (sweeter liquids gunk up coils). Tobacco and other darker flavors also gunk up coils.

That's the reason.

Will having a rta make any change in the life coils/wicks? thats one of the other reason i thought about the lemo drop was because buying melo coils at 15 dollars for 5 plus shipping was the same cost as the melo tank i bought.

It took me more than a month for my taste buds to return. My smell was first and that was nice when I exhaled through my nose. Just my experience.

Also, yes I started with Protank 2s, but my flavor did go up significantly as I got more innovative, and expensive, hobby-like designs.

My view as it being a hobby really helped.

Yes it will. :) The coils in my RDA are several months old. I simply "dry burn" them and rinse them off between wick changes (about every 3 - 4 days).

To dry burn, simply pulse fire the coils (without wick) long enough for the coils to glow. Blow off the ashes. Repeat as needed. I rinse with tap water. After cooldown, I rewick (cellucotton, organic cotton, or Chinese cotton).

I don't particularly like making coils, although I believe I'm pretty good at it. (I used to work for a vape shop) I don't consider making coils an enjoyable hobby like many seem to do (and making a new coil every few days).

i tryed that burn coils and re-cotton my melo prebuilt coils it worked but had a metal taste afterwards. I took the plunge and bought the lemo drop heck for 25 bucks and comes with rebuilding wire and cotton how can i go wrong.. now to pick up a ohm reader.
