Thanks to Robert, the REO Grand and the REOnauti for getting me off the analogs for a full year as of today.

I truly struggled with not smoking from early in November 2010 when my vaping journey began until sometime in March 2011 when I purchased my first REO Grand. Prior to Nov. 29th, I had a few slips but I managed to pull myself back up and got back on the digital wagon. I had numerous times when I wanted to drop vaping as my initial platform (Screwdriver MKII/901 Cartridge) never really met the need analogs filled so easily. However, I suffered through my inferior solution until I finally found the ECF and the REOSMODS sub-forum. After smoking 1-2 PAD for 35 years and being married to a non-smoker for 23 of those, I had quite a bit of motivation to give those nasty, life-sucking analogs a swift kick down the road. The day I got my REO Grand, I told my wife that I knew I'd never smoke another cigarette and I still feel that way today. Just a couple hours ago I bought yet another REO mini to replace the one I gave my lil sister during a recent trip to Vegas. I've helped over 30 people with an ecig "cookbook" I give to friends, family and co-workers that guides them on what to buy, what to expect and where to get real answers to any question regarding vaping. Ultimately these references always point back to here. I have three friends and a family member all using REOs Mods. I personally have two Grands and a mini waiting to be joined by a Cocobolo 18490 (may need to consider ebony after seeing Robert’s post) and a Cocobolo VV Woodvil. But I digress. Thanks again to Robert and all of you that make up this wonderful community. You have given me the tools, techniques and support to be able to genuinely say I am a non-smoker. REOMODs & REOnauti ROCK!! Brew

Brew, I hope you realize, with all of your networking with friends, Romans, and Countrymen, and your effort with your cookbook idea to help them ease into vaping, that you are truly a Force in expanding the frontier of Vaping.

Only good things and further growth can come from an addition of 30 more souls into our folds, (and God knows how many more exponential additions from these 30) and that helps all of us when it comes time to defend our right to vape. The FDA will soon see, when they begin to wage their attack on us, that there is strength in numbers.

When I consider the few people I have reached out to so far about vaping, where on all accounts the idea has been summarily dismissed, I see your actions as a great success.

So, I thank you man!

Thats just great. Its a little over 13 months for me as well. Don't you just feel better now. Thats a big reward in itself. Now you don't stink like those smokers do. Good job!!! I think its wonderful that you are a Reo Evangilist. I've only converted two people that I know of. People who never smoked think I'm crazy vaping but they don't count.

Testify, Brew! Many congrats and a job well done on spreading the word as well. You are an inspiration to all of us less-than-a-years, and for that you get a Hagrid dance from me!

It has been rewarding to help anyone who has interest. I work as a systems engineer in a computer telephony software company in Indianapolis. We have right around 1000 people and a small percentage smoke. I did the cookbook to save me an hour per person I used to spend selling them on the concept. Now I even have non-smokers asking me to send my cookbook or speak with their loved-ones. I figure we all started smoking by having someone mentor us on what to do and how to do it. I feel like my name is Earl and I have some Karma to work off. Thanks for all of the kudos. It's making this a very special day indeed.

Thanks again everyone. My wife saw the posts and commented that a birthday signifies years passed bye. Quitting smoking is about years yet to come. She said to tell you all thanks and that she's thrilled that I no longer smell bad.
Oh well, I know there's something positive buried in that comment. Brew :vapor:
