100% VG Question

I'm using CE5 wickless clearomizers right now.

I just ordered some 100% VG liquid with the intention of thinning it with distilled water as I read online.

Is this all I need to do to make it wick properly in the clearomizer? I've heard that I'll have problems wicking if I don't thin it out.

From my research I found that adding 5% distilled water or vodka will make it work in a regular clearomizer. Is this the right amount?

Depends on the clearo and how it is set up, I suppose. I don't use clearos after trying a couple. I use 95% VG/5% H2O every day in a carto tank. I've used 100% pure Glycerin USP alone in a carto tank and it vaped OK.

My first ever juice was 100% VG.

To this day, ever since i ran out of it ive been chasing that vape. It was great and i diddnt change a thing about it. I would say give it a go, CE5's are disposable right? If it does clog your wick your only out 5 bucks! I think itll work just fine though.

Did you order VG or did you order 100% VG eliquid?

When they say 100% VG eliquid, it usually means there is no PG in it, but usually diluted with something else like water for people who have a problem with PG.

i would try 100% b4 i diluted it not all vg is the same thickness i had some from horizon brand and it was useable by itself and i got a gallon from essential depot and that stuff is twice as thick

I order 100VG juice and add glycerin to my stuff sometimes and I have no issues with it wicking improperly.
I use CE8, RSST, R91C, HCigar 3.1 attys.

All Glycerin USP (pharmaceutical grade) is the same thickness, if that's what you mean by "VG". The viscosity (thickness) will vary by the temperature of the glycerin. The colder, the thicker.

100% VG-based flavored juice.

I'm going to try one tank without diluting it before I try to thin it out, as the above poster said.

It is trial and error. Be advised there is some thinning with the flavorings as well. So if you are using 10% of a PG flavor it may be enough on it's own.

If it's premade then don't tamper with it. Oh, and get yourself a bottom coil clearomiser, such as a Protank.

From my experience I have found that 70-30 (PG/V) works best for flavour.

It is POSSIBLE to get 100% VG juice, but you've got to use something besides PG based flavorings. In my shop I don't offer anything with more than 50% VG because the difficulty in developing a good flavor isn't worth the expense it takes to make it. Since I use something like 30% or more of PG based flavor, the best I can do is about 50/50 and maintain flavor quality.

I list my juice as 50/50, and include all flavorings and additives in the PG/VG calculation, and use VG based nic if necessary to make it work. my 100% PG is truly 100% PG as well. If it requires some other additive, I don't allow a 100%PG option.

Thing is, 100% VG does produce a big cloud. It does burn easier, however. Most of my customers like a 60/40 PG/VG or 70/30 mix PG/VG mix.

My very first juice was a 100% VG and it was totally amazing and changed my whole life. Once I started rebuilding my Kanger atties with micro coils and cotton, I never had wicking problems again.

I'm going to look into a bottom-feeder tank as mentioned above. But I guess it can't hurt to test it out on a $1 clearomizer just for giggles before I splurge on a new tank.
