100% VG With a decent throat hit?

Hi guys, New to ECF and I've gotten some great information here. Been vaping for about 2 months now with no analogs since. Using an ego 510 tank system.

I have a lot of juices that I love but now I would like to find a nice strong minty juice with a decent throat hit thats 100% VG. After playing around with different combinations of PG VG mixes I'm finding that anything with PG in it gives me headaches. So any suggestions on a strong minty non menthol 100% VG juice with a throat hit would be great. If this even exists which I'm finding that in the world of vaping everything exists. Thanks.

Welcome , and your probably in luck , as a menthol juice will give you a sensation of a throat hit , even without nicotine . There are also some vendors that sell a throat hit additive , that you can add to your juices . Try googling Throat hit or something like that . Or maybe , with any luck , someone on here will know where to get some . GOOD LUCK .

Thanks for the quick reply. From Googling I seem to be finding the amount of nicotine determines the throat hit. Is the nicotine the only thing that gives the throat hit 'cause that might be my problem. I seem to like 6-10mg of nicotine.

ecigexpress has a few additives that can increase throat hit. In regards to the flavor/vg, I use pure VG myself, and have found that mixing it myself has given me the best results.

Hmm. I'm not sure I'm ready to start mixing myself yet. I'm a truck driver and don't really have that much time to spend learning it. Not yet anyways. It will happen eventually just hoping for something already made for a while.

I feel you, it took me awhile to take the plunge into having 100mg/ml nicotine base sitting around the house with two dogs. The mixing process itself is rather painless, pull up the calculator, adjust for flavor, mix up 50-100 mls, win. Good luck!

From a number of experiences posted on ECF, especially in this part of the forum, you can get great throat hit with 0 nicotine eliquid that is 100% VG based. Many suppliers seem to use ingredients that boost the throat hit to whatever level you like. You just need to experiment with different eliquids. Higher levels of nicotine or PG are not needed to get good throat hit according to some who have weighed in on this topic. From what I have read, you should be able to get rid of all the nicotine, use 100% VG and have great throat hit.

I started DIY a month ago without reading too much about it in the first place. The first time I did a mix with ginger flavor I choked. That flavor, along with some others like cinnamon (and I heard some people use vodka in their mix) can give a hell of a good TH.

Ginger is great because when you mix it with other flavors, you can get a TH without getting the ginger taste too prominent.

But it appears that newer vapors have found out things that many of us missed. It appears you can get great throat hit with low to 0 nicotine even using all VG eliquid. For example, I never knew that adding menthol flavoring to eliquid gave it great throat hit without tasting like menthol. I know many people don't like the taste of menthol (like me) but if it gives great throat hit without the nasty taste (to me) of menthol, that is great. I also don't like the taste of ginger, cinnamon and pepper but if they by themselves gives great throat hit without tasting like ginger, cinnamon or pepper, that would be awsome. On adding vodka or PGA, I and many other vets, tried that several years ago and found no change in the throat hit at all. But it is obvious we must have been doing something wrong. Good information.

So I just tried adding menthol from Formula 51 .6 mg nicotine to Mountain Oak Vapors Summer Rain which has a real smooth orange like taste and no TH and I'll be damned that gave it the perfect TH and a crazy good flavor. Awesome advice.

Well, what can I say. I guess many of us vets just don't know much about throat hit. And from other threads I have read by newbies, we know nothing about battery life, either as I just learned recently that a 900 mAh battery will easily last for 2 - 3 days of heavy vaping when most of us throught that was physically impossible.

Well being as I've only been vaping a little while I figured there was someone on here that knew a whole lot more then I do. So again, thanks. I've tried adding the menthol to several other flavors now and it's give all of them the perfect TH for me.
P. S I want the 900 mah battery that last 2-3 days of heavy vaping.

HOW, explain! Where can I read more about that! I'd love to start cutting down on the nic, but continue to get a GREAT vap, with kick'n throat hit!

I don't remember the exact threads, but I'm pretty sure it was in the new members section or maybe the DIY section. There were a couple of posters, rather new people I believe, exclaiming how they could get great throat hit with 0 - very low nicotine eliquid. They either add something like PGA or pepper or some other ingredient and stated the throat hit was great. I've tried hundreds of different eliquids and added most of the items mentioned and never found that it gave great throat hit like you get with higher nicotine eliquid and warmer vapor from better battery model PV's. But I must have been doing something wrong.
