Bored and forum digging and searching as usual. Was just wondering if anyone wanted to throw some input on the longevity of their 100ft spools of kenthal. Gauge is kind of irrelevant I suppose. How long does your wire usually last you? Smoking habits and wicking habits would be a nice thing to include. My first 100 foot spool will be here soon and I'm thinking of splitting it with a buddy is why I'm interested in this information. Thanks in advance.

I would average 4" per coil, that should be more enough, that's 3 coils per foot x 100 = 300 coils. Now it's just a matter of how often you recoil, probably more untill the newness wears off and you figure it out, after that every 2 weeks is being very conservative. So that'll be around 600 weeks. Now whether we'll be recoiling RBAs in 600 weeks is a different question.

Another Temco user here. Great wire, fast shipping, and $5-10 gets you all you'll need for a long while. Of course I've bought 100ft spools of 28-36 gauge resistance wire plus a 50ft spool of 30 gauge non-resistance, so I'm about $50 into it lol. Though I'll never need wire, and can make whatever resistance coil I want!
