100mg/ml Unflavoured Liquid Nicotine price

Hey all,

I'm trying to understand what a reasonable price for unflavoured Liquid Nicotine is. I've seen a ton of prices, it seems that the US has the best prices but shipping is crazy and I heard that it might get stopped at customs.
Is $165 + $17 next day shipping reasonable for 1L of 100mg/ml?

Just trying to get my head around this.

Thanks,
Eric

US prices are generally $50 (on sale) - $80 for 1L/100mg. For already in Canada (if you can find it somewhere it is in stock) it's double or triple the price thanks to CBSA.
Due to the disparity some folks who live near the border have even set up a mail drop on the US side and will drive over and pick up their order. There are really no laws being broken if you manage to get lucky and CBSA doesn't seize it or you drive it across the border (as long as you declare the value). CBSA has no legal right to be doing what they are doing but this hasn't stopped them. No matter how you import it (yourself or by shipping) there is always the risk that CBSA will illegally seize it as they are above the law (at least for the moment).

In my experience, if that is from a Canadian supplier, it is a fair price. All I have seen is 48 mg, so I'll use that. Call it 50 mg for simplicity. To compare, add $20 or so for a litre of Base 0 mg to your litre of 100 mg, and you have 2 litres, at $85 or so each. Best I've seen for 48 mg is average $115 per litre. So your price is a good one, comparatively speaking. Although, for the higher price I've paid, shipping has been free, so your saving is somewhat reduced.

Considering the risk of seizure that customers face, it is not hard to imagine how much greater the risk to suppliers to bring the stuff in, because they are the ones the gov't is targeting.

FWIW, I calculate all my costs compared to cigarettes, and I think I am getting my money's worth, and then some.

Good luck however you choose to go with it!

There's a great deal on normal nic right now so if you PM me I will let you know. I just hate using names on the forum because it's illegal for us in Canada to bring it in.

CBSA acting on advice from Heath Canada and seizing it is the only thing illegal going on here. They have no legal basis to seize it (but that isn't stopping them). You can find lots of news articles all over the place that use the term "illegal" when referring to e-cigarettes in Canada and the import of nicotine, yet when we dig deeper we find (after many days of research) that they are not "illegal" or "banned" in any way unless they make a heath related claim like being able to help you quit smoking. To date, Heath Canada has only taken one enforcement action I know about and that involved a case of someone making heath claims, they haven't taken legal action against anyone that is not making such claims as there exists no law for them to use to do so. If you review the customs act, CBSA has a lengthy procedure to follow when they seize a shipment and in most cases are not following their own procedures.
