I would generally recommend batteries with a higher CDR. 20A is pretty standard minimum for vaping. 10A batteries can be used safely, but they're usually used by tootle puffers at about 10 - 15W.

One factor to consider is that using 10A batteries substantially increases the risk factor if you accidentally increase your wattage.

I am from the Tim Allen school of thought even though I might be firing at 10 watts I still have batteries that will handle 100 Watts.

I know this is a noob question but I just want to be certain.
With a dual 18650 mod and two 10 amp discharge batteries, what is the maximum safe wattage I can run my mod?

If I was you, I would Repurpose those 10 amp Batteries to a Flashlight. And get a Pair of 20 amp Batteries like the LG HG2 3000mah.

Thanks for the replies, I do have lghg2's that I use in my mod. I have some Panasonics that are 10 amp that I use in my flashlights. I was asking because I don't vape high watts and was wondering in a pinch if I could use those batteries in my mod. Again thanks for the answers and thanks Hawise for the link, that's exactly what I was looking for.

I thought the watts would be higher than that for a 10amp battery. It looks like it's really not worth it so I'm gonna pass on using those. Sorry everyone looks like I'm not gonna make the local news anytime soon as the next vape horror story:-x. But seriously thanks for the valuable information, an explosion next to my face is not something I'm interested in experiencing.

I'm guessing those batteries aren't married then. That's an additional problem.
