I bought quite a few blunt needle tips in 14ga, 15ga, 16ga, and 18ga over the last year or so. I measured by volume like 99% of everyone else who does it that way...measuring out
every liquid with a syringe and blunt needle tip.
Then, I came up with a way to measure (still by volume), but the
only things I draw out now with syringes are the flavorings and the nic. I no longer use a syringe and blunt needle tip for the plain PG nor the plain VG. Those I just shoot into the mixing bottle up to a marked line for each one, based on my PG/VG ratio I want to end up with.
It's kind of a lengthy explanation of how I do it, but actually
doing it is easy and time-saving. I've taught 2 local people the method so far. One had already bought a scale (to measure by weight), but after seeing this method...he measures by volume now. The other one didn't want to do it by weight from the get go. I'm meeting with, and teaching, yet another newbie to DIY about it tomorrow. If anyone's interested in learning how it's done...please PM me. Won't be able to answer you until I get back in town tomorrow late afternoon, but I will respond ASAP.
