12 mg. is a good Nic. level to start for 1/2 pk full flavor or 1 pk lights (considered 1/2).

DVap has researched it & come up w/ a good formula.
EXAMPLE 1 PK/DAY
DVap said:
We had 20 full flavor analogs per day delivering 20 mg of nicotine per day. I've found that we need to vape 2.5X the nicotine, or 50 mg/day, so we might vape ~2.5 mL of 20 mg or ~1.5 mg of 36 mg. We're putting ~ 50 mg of nicotine onto the atomizer coil because of that 50 mg, only 40% or 20 mg of nicotine makes it into the vapor and into our bodies. So by vaping 50 mg of nicotine per day, we are delivering 20 mg of nicotine per day to our bodies.
Most are vaping 2-3ml/day.

I was a light pack a day person and started off on 26 mg nic level on vaping, and found out the hard way that it was to much for me cause it kept me awake at night.

I'd say your first juice order should be a variety of nic levels. Cause the 26 mg is good for me during the daytime, but I can't touch it at night time. Took me some time to learn this and with the help of the great people here. I'm currently waiting on my order for some 12 mg and 8 mg, hoping that will do the trick for me at night time.

If all else fails, ask on these boards. With all the experienced members here, someone has an answer for something.

mg strength is really dependent on the individual vaper.

No two people "vape" the exact same way (or even smoke the exact same way). My wife and I were 1.5 pack a day'ers and she needed 36 mg to start with and I was fine with cutting back to 24 mg almost immediately.

If you're starting out and trying to quit, a good rule of thumb is to order some samples at various strengths. Try the higher first and work your way down until you can no longer sate your cravings. Then return to the lowest strength that satisfied your cravings and stick with that level for at least a day.

After that, you should have a good idea of what strength to order for your restock.

That depends on how many ml of 12mg you are vaping... Roughly if you vape 1 ml/day that means you are vaping (not exactly the same but close enough to give you an idea) the equivalent of 15-20 cigarettes with a nic strenght of 0,6mg per cigarette. Mind that nicotine in smoke is way more effective than in vapor in terms of absorption . But this gives you a general idea.

that makes no sense. 12 mg of what size bottle is equal to 1/2 pack cigs. Are you talking about ml?

I'm a little confussed myself. How much 12mg e-Juice compared to 10 analogs of what strength?

200ml of 12mg e-Juice does not equal 10 Ultra Light's

1 drop of 12mg e-Juice does not equal 10 Pall Mal non-fillters

That's about all I know. But I could be wrong

if i read right, if you smoked 10 analogs that had .6mg of nicotine that would equate to 6mg of nicotine, because nicotine in vapor doesnt absorb in your body as well as with analog smoke, it seems they are saying one would need lets say 10mg of ejuice strength wise to match 10 analogs, if you were to get 12mg ejuice you would use approx .8ml of ejuice to equal 10 analogs... its my understanding that if you bought 12mg strength ejuice each 1ml contains 12mg of nicotine

but what do i know i am a newbie... i am just trying to get my post count up so i can post my tornado charger mod.. lol

That is the way I understand it. what ever the mg strength of the e-Juice is is the amount of nicotine, in miligrams, in 1 milileter.

I just could figure out what the OP was asking seeing that I don't know what strength analogs or how much juice he/she is talking about.

But I'm just saying that so I can get to 232 posts.

Yes it is mg per ml but I have no idea personally how much nic I got from smoking - all i DO know is that I tried smoking one of my old brand (ultra lights) the other day and almost passed out from the head rush (and felt like I was about to throw up) - Im not kidding either.
Vaping never makes me feel that way so I reckon Im good on my 12mg per however much I fancy :D

I agree

You dont really know how much juice your gonna be vaping when you first start out. If you chain vape 9mg juice may work for you. If you vape once every two hours you may need 24mg juice. I think 18mg is a pretty good place to start but it can be too much for some and not enough for others.

It is kinda a balancing act imo. I personally like to vape 24mg in the morning and go to 9mg later in the day. The first 2 weeks of vaping I used 36mg juice and it worked just fine.

Like anim8r said, get a variety of flavors and strengths to start out with imo.

Edit- Why can't I spell strength right lol
