Definitely matters the type of device you're using, but for me 12mg ending up being the right level on most devices. I was a 2.5 pack a day smoker - the guys at the vape shope recommended I start with 24 mg based off of that, and I thought my head was going to pop off when I first vaped it. Had to drop down to 12, and that did the trick.

I dunno about mouth or lung vaping, all i do is press and inhale.
  • Mouth-2-lung: 2 step process. Drawing the vapor into your mouth and then inhaling it into your lungs.
  • Direct-2-Lung: 1 step process. Inhaling the vapor directly into your lungs.
Nicotine

A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. If you are subohming (resistance under 1.0Ω) cut these nicotine levels by at least 50%.

06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes

Buckeerik ... It all boils down to how much total nicotine your body needs in order to keep you off cigarettes.

Personally, I vape about 5ml of juice per day that is 15mg nicotine ... That winds up being 75mg of total nicotine in a 24 hour period.

There are others that sub-ohm that go through 15ml of juice per day that's only 5mg of nicotine ... But that still equals a total of 75mg of nic in a 24 hour period.

You just need to find out what is enough to keep you off of cigarettes.

And if you never smoked cigarettes before, I can't for the life of me understand why you took up vaping to begin with. Anyway, if you never smoked before, I would suggest vaping 0mg nicotine juice (no nicotine), if you still feel you must vape for some reason.

thanks guys, you gave me an idea of what I should look for. I smoke around half a pack and I also smoke shisha, so let say its a pack a day.

btw, the above I did not understand..... what does resistance has to do with nico level?

teach me :)

Short answer: lower resistance generally means a higher volume of vapor. The increased amount of vapor uses more e liquid each time, which increases the actual amount of nicotine consumed.

hi guys, thanks for your kind replies.

I vape Kanger subox mini with crown tank and I use occ coil. I dunno about mouth or lung vaping, all i do is press and inhale.

Age?
Years Smoking?
Smoking habit - Daily consumption?
Lights, regular?

Your setup tells me 6mg, but your Habit comes into play.
12mg could be a Horse Kick in a Subtank.

Tried 12 nico, it's hot I must say. I think I'm gonna try 6mg and see how it goes

Yeah, I think you'll find 6mg nic to be about right. I smoked a PAD, and vape between 0.3 and 0.9 ohm. 6mg has been very satisfying for me, and I can chain vape it without getting "nic sick".

I'm an old smoker but I consider myself as a medium smoker in terms of volume. 12 mg did not do the trick for me and it was hot!

I'm vaping 6 now but I still smoke a cig every now and then. 9mg is on the way order, I'll give that a try

Mind set more than anything. As long as you allow yourself the occasional Cigarette, no nicotine level will matter.
It is simply(not so simply) Personal choice. I fought back hard to keep from lighting up....until one day>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>my youngest Son @ 30yrs old, angered me so bad I had 2 choices..........Punch him out............or Smoke a Full pack.
Instead, at that point I grabbed my Mod(No smokes available) and started puffing for all it was worth.
10 minutes later I finally got it.
I needed the Nicotine...................Not the Cigarette.
Been fine ever since. :D

ETA: Will I ever quit Vaping?
Well, He still lives at home...............with his wife and 3 children
