That's not a bad deal! You could get your white one!
RIGHT?! I sent them an email. They haz peanut butter banana!!! I haven't ever tried their juice, but for that price it doesn't have to be my very favorite. As long as it's "good," I feel it's worth it. Problem is that juice isn't in the "Top 25" choice list so I asked if they will do an exception. If not, oh well. I shouldn't be shopping anyway, lol!

Last time they called around 9:30 AM :)
I hope that's the case tomorrow, too! :) I missed the call from radiology today to go back in for my second mammo. I keep forgetting they want to check out that lump, lol! Can you tell I am not very worried about it? :D

My son got one and decided to not even fight it, lol. He got nailed going 15 over the speed limit but the cop only wrote him up for 5 over. He lost his good driver discount, though, so on top of the ticket he gets to pay about $20 more in insurance per month now. They really do stick it to young men!!! :(
Here in NY, it is standard procedure for you to plead not guilty. Then when you go to traffic court for the pre-trial conference, the prosecutor then cuts you a deal. Within a 12 month period about 7 years ago, I got pulled over for speeding twice. Both times I went to court and the prosecutor lowered the charge from speeding down to illegal parking. Here's the thing. If it is speeding, then it is a $150 fine, and half the money goes to the state and the other half goes to the town. Then there is a $50 surcharge, which goes to the state. For illegal parking, it is still a $120 fine, but all of the money goes to the town and nothing goes to the state. Then there is the $50 surcharge. So by them letting you plead to a different charge, you feel like you're getting a deal because the fine is lower and you get no points on your license. However, the town also makes out because they get much more money from you. So generally almost everyone takes the deal they offer. If you still want to plead not guilty and go to trial, then they assign you a court date and you have to go back a second time in the future and they also arrange to have the police officer who wrote the ticket show up.

I also forgot to mention that because the state of NY is so hard up for money, back in 2006 they implemented a "driver responsibility charge". If you accumulate more than 11 points, or get hit for speeding over 15 mph over the limit, or get convicted for DUI, or even if you refuse a breathalyzer test, then in addition to any fine you get for any tickets, you also have to pay the DMV a driver responsibility charge. This is a $100 charge each year for three years. The state says that this is supposed to be an incentive for you to "change your ways". And during that 3 year period where you are subject to the driver responsibility charge, if you get pulled over and given a ticket, for any reason, that restarts the 3 year clock and you are hit with another $100 per year charge.

Kids don't realize how important their dl's are until they don't have em.
I've had my share of speeding tickets in GA, none out here...hell the last ticket I got for speeding, the sheriff of the neighboring county took care of it for me.
The last ticket I got was for throwing a cig out of the window in GA. I was driving and my friend in the backseat threw her cig out of the window. That cost me $196. I'm done with tickets, that was almost 10 years ago.

The funny thing is back in 2009, I drove up to Marquette to visit a friend. We then drove over to Green Bay and on the way there, I got pulled over for speeding. After the cop wrote me the ticket, he said that I had to pay him $20 in cash for bail. The alternative would be for me to go to the jail before the judge, but because it was the weekend, I would need to stay in the jail until Monday. After I gave him the $20 in cash, he gave me the ticket and let me leave. I then had to mail the ticket back in with my plea. I don't remember what the fine was, but the $20 I had paid was credited against the fine.

That was my last ticket, but I did have an insurance claim though so that dings me for insurance purposes. In 2010, I was pulling my car off to the side of the road, but because of the tall grass, I didn't see that the side of the road had a ditch in it. My front wheel dropped into the ditch, and I couldn't drive it out, so I had to call the tow truck. When the tow truck pulled me out of the ditch, the way the guy was winching my car out caused my front bumper to snag on something and it ripped my front bumper off, so I had to file a claim to get the car repaired. And then in 2014, my son was pulling my Mercedes into the garage and crashed into the door frame. That broke the front headlight and dented the fender. Since he had just gotten his license that year, I took the fall for it when I reported it to the insurance company. This, along with the other claims when my son totaled his car and then my daughter totaled her car, is why we got screwed over by the insurance company. Now we're stuck paying through the nose for insurance until 2017, when all those previous claims falls off and then we can get "preferred" insurance rates again.

I just had to start back on D3 supplementation. It's pretty standard issue around here. Everyone has low Vitamin D levels due to the lack of sunshine, but mine got pretty low, apparently. I am ready for some natural vitamin D, too!

I already take extra D3, at several times over the normal limit. Plus B-12 for my nerves. ;) I need all the help I can get!

Yay! That truly makes me feel better. I almost cried when I read about it getting left behind. I hate crappy pet owners :( it is heartbreaking.

That's what happened with Tigger, our big orange tiger kitty. I went out to do chores one morning and happened to notice on my way out that Kiara looked at me then wagged her tail and romped over to the dog pen and nosed in the back corner. I thought she'd stashed a bone or piece of meat back there, but as I got closer, I heard a kitten crying. I looked in, and there was this tiny, tiny little baby orange kitten, crying for all he was worth. When I looked at him, he stopped, then when I went on in the barn to do chores, he started wailing again, even louder. I figured if he was still there when I got done, I'd do something. So I milked the cows, fed them, cleaned up the barn and all that other stuff, all the while hearing that tiny baby crying outside...

Finally I went around through the gate into the pen and picked him up. He wasn't scared AT ALL, he just snuggled into me and stopped crying. I went back in the barn and sat down with him for a while, trying to decide if Rich was gonna be mad if I brought another kitten in the house, and little Tigger was snuggling up under my chin and purring. Oh, and this was just a few days after the big blizzard in 2013, so there was NO WAY I was gonna just put him back out in the snow. I don't know where his mama was, but I saw no sign of her that morning, so I figured he was lost. Anyway, I took him in the house, all ducking and squinty-eyed and, "Rich, I know we already have too many cats, but..." and Rich just went gushers over him. Whew! He said later he couldn't believe I had even CONSIDERED leaving him outside. (Well, I would have made a safe, warm place for him...)

So Tigger joined our family. Here he is sleeping, as kittens do, in the most unusual position...

Waked up! :D

And meeting the new dog that the previous owner was SURE would eat any cat she saw! LOL! Not likely! We'd only had Zipper for a little over a month here.

Here's Tigger now. He fits in real well, don't you think?

He got himself into bed and under the covers, by the way, that is NOT a staged photograph. Of course he chose the satin pillowcase to sleep on. Siwwy kitty...

Wow, in Washington you get your license taken away for a minimum of 3 years with your second DUI. If you get a ticket and you have not had a deferral in 7 years you can ask for that and it won't go on your record, but if you get another ticket within the deferral period, which is either 6 months or a year depending on the judge's mood, you have to pay both tickets plus a bunch of fees. You have to pay a deferral fee of $91 on the first one either way. Shaun already got a deferral last year so he didn't qualify for another one and he was just a week or so outside of his deferral period. He would have had to pay over $500 if he had gotten that ticket just a little bit earlier. I think the one he just got was $150, so between that one and the deferral it was like $250 plus the increase in his insurance. I hope he learned his lesson this time and watches his speed. His insurance company will likely drop him if he gets another one.

YIIIKES! We have AARP for our vehicles, but they wanted $350 a month for my oldest son when we put him on it and we decided that with Shaun we would put him on a separate policy. It ended up being MUCH cheaper to do it that way. He still pays more for his own insurance than we do for both of our vehicles but definitely not $350 a month! I don't know how these insurance companies expect low income people to manage. It's the law to have insurance but you have to pay through the nose for it.

Awww, that's the sweetest thing!! What a sweet kitty! :)

I actually had to go off D3 for a few months because I gave myself Vit D poisoning, lol! Apparently VitD is one you CAN get too much of. Who knew? I was taking 10,000 mcg a day though. Ooops. :D Now I am back down to the one 5,000 mcg tablet a day, which is apparently the cutoff. So much for trying to make the most of my supplement!

Just waiting to hear from the communications nurse in the doctors office in my town.....I called the hospital and they said they faxed my results to my doctor already and they could not release any info over the phone. So I have to wait for my doctor office to call me or pick up the reports from the hospital. If Hubby gets a chance he is gonna stop by on his way home and pick them up. I cannot understand why my doctor office will not call me with my results. The sad thing is the communication nurse (the only one who can call me with the results) leaves at noon on friday. So, if Hubby cant get my report then I will have to wait until Monday.

That is such a beautiful happy story! Growing up I had a cat named Tigger, and he was the coolest! I love the name! I am so glad you saved him, and he was so dang cute. He turned into an even more beautiful cat! I love Zipper, she is gorgeous. Tigger definitely fits in and has found his forever home. His face looks like hes thinking "forever, forever" lol :)

I'm not sure how much I take (me, the compulsive label-reader!), it's supposed to be one caplet a day and I started with 3 a day then cut back to 2 a day after a couple weeks. Rich got "double strength" stuff last time he went shopping, so I just take 1 a day now. Maybe I don't even need it anymore, but it can't hoit. At least until sunburn season starts, anyway. ;) Plus I'm getting plenty of A, D, C, and B in our raw milk, but I was definitely having a problem a couple months ago and the additional D3 seems to have helped.

Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, so it won't just flush out in urine like water soluble ones do, that's why you can get too much of it.
