WOO HOO for the containment of the cancer!!! That is the BEST news!! It can take days for the bowels to wake back up. When I had my hysterectomy they had to run my bowels (took them OUTSIDE of me to check them!) and it was a good 3 days before I could hear my innards again. It's really weird when they are not working. You don't realize just how noisy your gut it until it isn't doing anything! That really does suck about him not being able to take things orally yet. That has got to be miserable.Good afternoon.
Here's your weekend update.
Yesterday afternoon, my dad's surgeon came in with his test results. She said his cancer has not spread to any other organs, his hemoglobin is back to normal, white blood cell count is back to normal, and all vital signs are normal.
However, he has been very sick the last 2 days, constantly vomiting and crazy hiccups. His intestines have not "woken up" since his surgery. The surgeon said they would eventually wake up, but in the meantime, bile is collecting in his stomach and they are having to pump it out. They were also putting in a PICC line to feed him since he can't eat yet.
I hope you are letting him know just how many people there are praying for him and sending him good vibes. He has a LOT of people cheering him on!!

I missed a bunch of pages today - been busy making bread and mozarella cheese (pizza for Rich's b-day dinner tomorrow) all freaking day long. Did I miss anything important? (The bread isn't for pizza, just the cheese, by the way. The bread is for breakfast toast for the next week.

I love the wild birds too, and feed them as well! My birds i feed are not that tame though.

One of these days, I'm gonna do that with the big TVSo, I am all set up now.....got myself a wireless keyboard to go with my trackball mouse....and hooded my laptop up to my 48" screen, set as primary display....now I can lay back on mah bed and relax, yet still see the screen just fine
