Well, Jim's passed out cold on the massage mat....but Blizz whines every 10 minutes to go out, so I have to help him up, go let him out, and wait on him. About the time he gets back in and settled on his rug, Max starts whining.
Damn kids!

Red, I hope your boys settle down and that you feel better.
Karen, drive safe tomorrow and be careful.
:)
The joys of Husky ownership.....especially when one is old and cranky. Tomorrow, when jim leaves for work, I'll get my massage mat back...it's full length with heat and zoned massage. I'll probably be stuck to it most of the day!

The real sad thing is I used to LOVE the outside section. A place to discuss and debate topics frowned upon in the regular forum....but people like that guy aren't mature enough mentally to handle such an environment, and kind of ruin the whole place :/
Yup....only takes one azz hole to ruin it.

WOO HOO for the containment of the cancer!!! That is the BEST news!! It can take days for the bowels to wake back up. When I had my hysterectomy they had to run my bowels (took them OUTSIDE of me to check them!) and it was a good 3 days before I could hear my innards again. It's really weird when they are not working. You don't realize just how noisy your gut it until it isn't doing anything! That really does suck about him not being able to take things orally yet. That has got to be miserable. :( I hope you are letting him know just how many people there are praying for him and sending him good vibes. He has a LOT of people cheering him on!! :)
Yeah :) The thing that's bothering me right now is everyone I've mentioned it to has said that it took 2-3 days for theirs to wake up, or they had reflux for 2-3 days after surgery. Today will be 12 days since his surgery now.

He had a really bad day today, too. The nurses couldn't get the tube in his nose and he ended up having to do it himself. Then the canister of bile fell and spilled on him and the floor. Then when they gave him his pain medication, they had to turn his stomach pump off, but they never turned it back on. He asked them about it a few times, but they kept telling him it was hooked up, and he started to get sick again. The head nurse finally came in and realized that it was hooked up to itself.

I haven't been around very long, but that place has always seemed mean. Surf Monkey is always spoiling for a fight. Even that plea for "new people" to come join (fresh meat for the carnivores?) went to hell in like 3 posts. How do they expect to attract anything BUT azzholes the way things go in there? That was the only time I ever got insulted by anyone on ECF, when I was still fairly new, and there was a thread about how great Portland was (started by the infamous Surf Monkey, of course), and I went on there (whooeee, was THAT a mistake) and said it wasn't such a great place, once you get to know it, and I should know, having spent the first 38 years of my life there, and Jimbo told me *I* must be the azzhole, since I didn't like it there. That's when I realized it was just for slugfests, and not actual discussions.

I do still go in there occasionally and read, when I'm in an angry mood. It makes me realize that my problems aren't so bad after all. LOL!

Oh, and I forgot to say CONGRATS! to Ducky on the Luggy win! I unwatched that thread after Stirred Still got so scared because I said the word "gun" so I didn't see the final draw. Anybody else we know win one? I need to go check. I know MJ and Ducky, but any other of the Family?

He can be abrasive, and hard headed in his opinion...but he is also a sharp individual and good for a lively debate. Part of his problem is he is constantly bombarded by trollish characters, which makes him constantly on the defensive. His plea for new "blood" was actually sincere...as it really is needed. Same ole faces just brings the same ole arguments. The typical trolls turned that thread into a crap fest really fast.

We have had some really great debates there in the past....I keep going back hoping to see that happen again.

Abrasive... yeah, OK, you could be right. And I suppose if he "knows" the people he's being abrasive to, it's not so bad, but as a "new person" who was raised to be polite in someone else's home (or one's OWN home, for that matter), it's... um... shall we say, offputting. Yeah, that works. :) It makes me definitely NOT want to participate. I'm pretty sharp, too, and I have my opinions, but arguing incessantly, and in circles, just makes me have a tummy ache. Hell, I've left CONTEST threads for pointless arguing! LOL! I don't handle arguing very well.

My mom said when I was a tiny baby in my playpen, if she or my dad raised their voices, I'd cry, and if they ever got into an actual argument, I would "spit up." ;) I guess I'm still that way.
