the resistance should average around a consistent 2.6 ohms. all of our pre-filled cartos are basically 100% PG there may be some vg but just a slight amount for flavoring.
I've a couple questions - what resistance are your cartos rated at?

What is the pg/vg ratio in your prefilled cartos? Specifically, Grape?

Before writing, I must say that I won this kit for free in a contest held here in ECF. This will do nothing deter my full honest opinion of this product, so here we go.

Review of The Volt-unbiased, honest, and just my opinion :D

Presentation
This is my first pv aside of my eGo - if you've bought an eGo from Liberty Flights (maybe other vendors?) you know it comes in a nifty box with magnets on the flaps, well this is much of the same. (I personally love these types of boxes for additional storage of miscellaneous hardware, but that's neither here nor there.)

The batteries I have are both black, though you can opt for silver or white as well. The silver battery only has the blue LED option but the white has red & blue while the black gives you four choices; blue, red, green, or purple. I've got one in blue and one in green, having options like this is pretty cool, I think.

Performance
Out of the box, the battery took a little over 3 hours to charge and as far as how long it will last, I do not know yet. I cannot give a solid review on the longevity of battery life or durability of the pv since I've only had it for a few hours and have yet to run the battery down to nil.

Cartomizers The juice I selected was Grape at 12mg, which I'll get to the flavor in a little bit. Their juice in the pre-filled cartos are, for the most part, 100% PG and rate at 2.6ohms (refer to post at top ^^^). The TH is barely there at 12mg with this particular juice as well as the vapor. I am used to vaping on a 2.0LR atomizer with my favorite juice being mostly VG, so this immediately wasn't going to impress me as far as TH and Vapor goes. I imagine that had I picked this up as my first PV, it would've worked out for me but as it is right now I am just too far along to be able to vape this set-up, as is. But all of this is, as I had said, with the standard pre-filled cartomizer.

But no problem - this is a simple fix. Opt for a larger nic-strength for TH, or you can buy the empty cartos and load 'em with your favorite juice. I actually just added some of my favorite menthol tobacco (from BWB) into the Grape carto I've been vaping and voila! TH and vapor is now working, for me. I personally am not really a carto fan in the first place. The only other ones I've tried were some LR 2.0ohm cartos (brand? I dunno) and they just didn't work for me. These however, aren't bad as to say, I can at the very least vape it with no problems. Onto the juice!

Das Juice-Grape 12mg
I tried this with a weaker battery (straight out of the box) and my first thoughts were grape freezer pops. Remember freezer pops? The little bags of juice that when frozen are popsicle-like?

When waiting for the battery to charge, I refrained vaping anything else and drank a good amount of water, to ensure a clean pallate when I tried it. With a full battery, the flavor remained surely the same. Grape freezer pops. It's a subtle grape though and I asked my fiancee to try it and she said it tasted like grape medicine (she still smokes cigarettes-to note). This is the first grape flavor I've ever tried so I don't really have another juice to compare it with but I can say that it isn't fruit grape but more grape flavoring like in popsicles.

The beef I have with this juice is that it's 100% PG and at 12mg has very little TH. I really enjoy seeing clouds of vapor and with 100% PG on a standard 808d1, you're not going to get it. TH is redeemable through obtaining a higher nic-strength carto but if you're looking for vapor, I'd recommend going for the empty cartos and filling yourself. **Note: Possibly common sense, but those who do fill on their own should know to be extra careful and make sure that the carto isn't over filled or wet at the battery point or the battery could very well die.**

Overall
I am happy to have tried a 808d1 auto-battery but I think I was a little too spoiled starting off with the eGo. While I appreciate holding this pv gives a certain nostalgic effect of smoking cigarettes, I don't think that at this point of my vaping career, that it's necassary. I think that this would be a great starter e-cig though and I think I could've easily weened myself off of the cigz with this product. I like the variety of choices with the batteries and LED colors and if you are a newbie or even a veteran, you too can enjoy the Volt. Though I strongly recommend opting for the empty cartos and filling yourself. I am currently vaping Boba's Bounty on it and find it to be very enjoyable.

The customer service is over the top at Smokeless Image. Their team is there for you nearly all day on their site-ready to chat and answer all of your questions. They're prices are some of the best I've seen. They shipped immediately, priority and it was here in two days.

On a personal note: I am going to order more pre-filled cartos to see what I think of another flavor or two. Their cartos fit on my mom's e-cig as well and their much cheaper than her companies pre-fillers, so that's a definite plus and I will be ordering a pack to see if my mother likes them. If she does, then Smokeless Image has earned a lifelonger.

My two cents - there ya go.

Edited: Changed to proper threading :D

Thanks for the honest and fair review!! We always welcome any feedback and criticism, its the only way to get better!!!

Just one thing to note the Volt is not 510 threaded but 808d1 threaded. It is not your regular 808d1. The Volt is the most highly advanced 808d1 on the market and blows the regular ones out of the water!!

I do agree once you have moved on to a mini mod or a big mod going back to an analog super mini is not the same experience anymore. Our model is definitely geared more toward those looking to make the first switch between analogs and vaping!

And as you said this product is a great one for that crowd!!

But you might find this powerful super mini to start to grow on ya :vapor:

ordered 2 boxes of carto's Saturday 4/23, and received yesterday. Fast shipping! I've been vaping one carto non-stop since last night and it's great! while I haven't tried hard to vape it dry, so far there's never been the slightest hint of burning taste -- even on a 5v passthrough. Excellent cartomizers! thanks for the sale --it's the only way i could've tried them.

ok great!! yes our tech is much more advanced. the Volt carto is practically burn proof and has such a light easy draw for tons of vapor!! sorry I love our product so much I have to brag sometimes
yep, I've been topping it off -- it just doesn't seem to need it as often as other carto's I've tried. So far I'm very pleased with them --thanks again!

feel free to post any reviews in this thread! :)

My cartomizers arrived yesterday and I filled one last night and have been vaping away today. Really putting it to the test with sweetened, dark caramel-like juice. You know the one that kills cartos in a day... so far I've topped off three times and not a hint of taste declining. I know it's only been 8 hours, but if this nice warm, clean taste lasts... I'm a total convert. These rate 2.5 ohm every refill so far and I am loving it!

Will update after the weekend :)

they are a completely new redesign. The new Volt line has a much more advanced switch. The switch will not activate to noise or movement, and has an almost instant on off with a light draw. The voltage also stays constant from start to finish at 3.6...therefore use will not drop off until the battery is completely dead. That being said, it will work on last years model's batteries as they are the same threading, but the performance of the cartos is better on the new batts . hope this helps!
Are the batteries the same or different than last fall's starter kits?

** edit also the Volt batts are regulated to turn off and stop charging on the charger (assuming you are using a VOLT charger) so you will never have to worry about leaving these on the chargers to long or overnight
