Hello,
I just ordered a pv from vapor4life after readings the pros and cons on this forum. Im hopeful that after everything else ive tried I can finally quit the negative health "benefits" of analogs. ive tried literally everything under the sun except pvs. The new years discount sealed the deal on my new 2 piece. Given that id like to order some carts I was hoping yall could provide some favorites or steer me in the right direction towards the forums favs and a flavor that tastes like my current adiction camels.

Best regards,
-Ryan

I started with v4l batts and cartos also. I loved them, the were great.....until I tried the 510 with atomizer. I find better flavor through attys, and cartomisers I feel like I have to pull really hard to get a decent amount of vapor.

I also quickly found I am sensitive to pg, so I need juices higher in vg. Ordering prefilled cartomisers is great for the no hassle, but it quickly becomes pricey. I recommend trying some juice from a different vendor (or v4l, but there are so many good ones out there~!), and try filling your own cart, it is really easy.

I'm going to send you a private message.

Well if you want to order blank carts and fill them yourselves (cheaper)
there are several favorite flavors for analog cravings...

Boba's bounty from www.avejuice.com (they also have a camel flavor)/ smokey tobacco with a hint of something
Apple Wood Tobacco from www.backwoodsbrew.net /tobacco with a hint of apple
anything from www.vaperite.com (organic made in Georgia)/ a true tobacco taste.
wyatt earp from FSUSA (may or may not have diacetly ...who knows with fsusa) / I don't shop here

The thing is none of them taste like each other...so it all comes down to personal taste. You may find non tobacco flavors work well for you as well...I like them both, but I find coffee is an enjoyable flavor to vape on (I get mine from vaperite)

Some people like the straight dekang tobacco flavor which you can find all over the place but I know totally wicked has it...in fact I have heard good things about TW's non dekang tobacco juices as well...that would be Electronic Cigarette / Totally Wicked eLiquid

Thank you all for the replies, I know carts can be more expensive but the liquid kinda intimidates me and I had read the ones I had order are kinda no fuss which is important at least for now for me. The harder draw makes me worried, for me the addiction is just as much the th and draw/smoke as it is the nicotine. If I find the v4l pv hard to draw is there any solutions or should I be trying to cancel the order for a 510. Can I use carts with 510s?

Ryan,
Congrats on giving vaping a try, I was a pack a day for ten years smoker and this was the first thing that worked for me so best of luck! I like apple flavors, FSUSA's Applewood and Candy Apple are 2 of my fav's. TW's Apple Shisha flavor is really good too (it's an apple/tobacco mix). Several sites sell syringes to refill carto's (I have a friend who does this) and it's not a difficult or scary process, just search youtube for instruction videos. Also, with a 510, you can use carts or atty's.

I wouldn't cancel your order. v4l batts are nice, but I agree the manual has a better draw then the auto. You can use carts with a 510, but they have to be 510 carts, 808's won't work. You can use 901 attys I believe on the kr808's

Vengeance, would you see if you can send me a private message?

As of right now I don't have that option, I'm going to assume ill get that privilege later hopefully.

Does using liquid on a 808( i think thats the term) hurt the device at all? Ouch just realized thats allot of concurrent questions, sorry :<

808, 901, and 510 are different sizes of e-cigs. Basically, all e-cigs have the same parts but different size connecting pieces. Thats why a 901 can work with an 808, but not a 510 (there are adaptors available but why bother..) All PV's use liquid so it won't damage it (unless you drip on an automatic battery, but thats another thread..)

I'm really hopeful that vaping works because honestly I'm out of options. I love smoking I hate the health risk's and its certainly inspiring to see so many successful pv users whereas Chantix, Patch, Gum, lozenge and everything has failed for me at least.

I hear ya. I quit the day I fired up my first e-cig. The first day or two mildly sucked, but nothing like how it felt to be rubbing on that stupid nicorette patch to 'squeeze' more nicotine into my skin, or chomping on the gum, etc...

After that it was smooth sailing. Don't get me wrong, you still have to want to quit and want to work through any little glitches you might have with learning to vape, but as I've told my friends, vaping is like some sort of miracle.

I smoked for 15 years, a pack and a half to two packs a day, and I *loved* smoking. I just didn't love how it was making me old before my time.

Vaping works, no doubt about it. I'm now at 6mg of nicotine and seriously considering making the jump to zero. Took me only 2 months to get here. Best part? It was 99% pain free.

Good luck!

I have the VaporKing KR808d-1 and I refill it with new liquid all of the time. It's pretty easy and not intimidating at all once you do it a time or two.

ETA: I believe this is the same model you said you purchased.

Vengeance - Hi and welcome!

We call V4L carts cartos or cartomizers (i.e. juice cart and atomizer in one piece). I know V4L calls them carts but they are actually cartos. Carts are just plastic, stuffing and juice and used with 3-piece setups (cart, atomizer, battery).

I don't quite understand the battery conversation. V4L sells both manual and auto batteries in 3 sizes. V4L's Vapor King is a model KR808D-1 and its batteries are better than standard 510 batteries (better as in more mah so the charge lasts longer). The shorty V4L battery is about equivalent in charge to a 510 battery. But if you ever wanted to use V4L cartos with a 510 or Ego, then there is a an adapter needed for 510 battery to 808 carto (I know FreedomSmokeUSA sells such an adapter). And re manual batteries - you don't have to drag extra to warm it up and you have more control over your hit. I do press (wait 1/2 to 1 second) start dragging, and before my drag is done I let up button while I finish dragging out the vapor. Then inhale. Some people prefer the autos. I do not know if KR8 autos can turn on accidentally on their own like many autos do.

Re juices - I haven't tried many V4L cartos yet. I do know they use two kinds of cartos and one kind is hotter than the other. I think the hotter ones are their Premiums and the cooler on the lips ones are their Coolcarts. I'd recommend buying some of their samplers (5 different flavors in each pack) and maybe buy a 5-pack of their blank Coolcarts.

I am not sure if you need a blunt syringe or anything to fill the V4L cartos (I don't think so). Check on Youtube - search for one of these:
refill Vapor4Life
refill V4L
and you will find videos on refilling the cartos.

Re juices for filling your own cartos

1. Gourmet Vapor is having a killer sale right now - 60% off on all flavored ejuices and that includes their flavor Creator where you can mix your own flavors. And optionally you can make your mix public for anyone else who might want to buy it. I don't make mine public until after I taste them. So far I made one pretty good one and made it public (Morgans Eggnog). With that discount code the prices are amazing - under $2 each for 5ml of existing flavor ejuices or create-your-own ones.
Code: VAPETV60

2. I am fond of Backwoods Brew. Their peach is almost too good (like i can't stop vaping it so now I just mix a bit into other flavors). And my regular vape is their Casablanca (Turkish tobacco with cocoa and a bit of an exotic taste)

3. I am very fond of FreedomSmokeUSA (normal discount code freedomsmokeusa for 10% off but sometimes they have big special customer sales instead). I think any time I've ordered juice form them they've given me a 3ml sample of something. Unfortunately their $2.25 sample sizes are all 24mg and fixed PG/VG and not all of their juices are available as samples anyway. Their normal bottles ($4 for 5ml is the smallest) are configurable for nicotine and PG/VG ratio (I like around 70pg/30vg). My personal faves so far are Desert Ship, Chocolate, Chocolate Mint Cookie, and I am looking forward to trying Raspberry Tea. They have many tobacco flavors, several of which are Turkish blends (Kamel, Desert Ship, Dark Vapure, maybe others)

4. Velvet Vapors - you can get 5 samples for $12 in your choice of nicotine and a choice of several PG/VG bases (I get their Velvet blend). The flavors i have tried have been tasty and smooth. Their Vanilla Almond tobacco is light on the tobacco but lovely. The Raspberry Ginger Ale is a kick (tingly TH)

5. When I want a bigger TH, I use something like Dekang DK-TAB (Turkish American Blend). I got mine at Litecigusa.com. Dekang is 100% PG from China, good TH and not a whole lot of flavor or complexity. But last night I mixed some FSUSA Orange Ball (i.e. chocolate orange ball) with DK TAB and that added some richness and nice high notes with that DK TAB TH - it was nice.

Gee I am writing a lot...

Another thing you can do with KR8 (V4L) (manual battery recommended for this because the hole in the end of the battery is blocked off) - drip tip and DSE901 atty. I put a 901 atty on my KR8 battery (no adapter needed) and an aluminum drip tip on that (I may have got both at litecitusa?). Then I drip flavors into the drip tip and vape. 2-3 drops to start then 1-2 when vapor is low. One downside - 901 airhole in side of atty can leak a bit of juice.

as far as flavour goes, Desert Ship is probably the most Camel like taste you will get. Pretty much the only way to get the taste of burning tobacco is to burn tobacco.
And if you stick with vaping for a week or so, burning tobacco is the last thing you want to taste. I'm a big fan of RY4, and it seems to be pretty popular with a lot of new vapers / ex-smokers. Tastes like good pipe tobacco smells like it would taste is about the best I can describe it.
15 + year smoker myself and this being able to taste and smell things is taking some getting used to
