I finally stopped at the Vape store I had noticed at lunch one day, where they fixed me up with 2 simple 900 mAh ego batteries with a charger, and two CE4 clearomizers, and a bottle of juice. I thought I had found vaping nirvana. Then I joined ECF and started reading here. After a few months, I added a Vamo mod and a couple of 18650 batteries, and I thought I had found vaping nirvana. Next came a couple of ProTanks, and I was sure I had found vaping nirvana. I added some Kanthal wire and began rebuilding my Protanks with cotton wicks, and knew in my heart I had found vaping nirvana.

I rolled along pretty happy for another few months, then I started reading about Kayfun and Russian RBA's, so I found a Russian and bought it. "This", I said to myself, "is most certainly vaping nirvana." A week later, on a whim, I bought a dripping atomizer and was absolutely sure I had finally reached vaping nirvana, until I started making microcoils, then I no doubt had found vaping nirvana.

I want a Provari now.

I blame ECF.

Now I really am hooked, good and proper. All those new things to try. :D

Nirvana awaits.

I realised very quickly the benefits of backup batteries. I have three now on rotation, and generally speaking there's one on charge per day. I seem to go through them very quickly. I get through about 3ml a day too - on 18mg, and did wonder if I was overdoing it slightly so it's good to know that's what others get through. It's a revelation being able to vape away at my desk at work, and virtually everywhere else too, although I do feel a little self conscious pulling out my tank and having a vape in a busy public area for some reason.

Any recommendations for Youtube links for re-building coils? Am keen to give that a go once I get some means of checking coil resistance.

Here are some good places to start:

Protank Wick Rebuild with Cotton - YouTube

I use cotton balls for my wick and I boil in distilled water twice each time for 30 minutes and rinsing with distilled water each time to ensure chemicals are removed. Some people skip this step but I take the extra precaution. I use a 1/16th drill bit to wrap the kanthal wire around and I use 32 gauge wire that I purchased from here. I wrap 5 times and I get 1.8ohms which works well for me at 3.9 volts on my V3.

When I first got into vaping I heard about others rebuilding coils and said I would never do it. I assumed that it would be difficult and did not want to go down that road. Then I did a little bit of research and it honestly it is pretty easy. I also like the cotton way better that the silica used in the heads when you get them. Plus it is so much cheaper than buying new heads each time!
