Wow, I got my first generic PV kit 16 days ago and started using it right away. I haven't had an analog since that very first vape...and haven't wanted one!!
A little bit about my smoking/quitting issues. I smoked regularly as a teenager from the ages of 12-17. Quit cold turkey when I got married because hubby didn't smoke. Was married for 22 years so no smoking during that time. Separated from hubby (and subsequently divorced) and went out and bought a pack of smokes that same day because I had never stopped wanting one! Smoked for about 13 years and then quit, using nicotine gum, for 3 years. Gained around 60 pounds in just a matter of about 3 months when I did quit. Developed health problems due to the weight gain (diabetes2, high blood pressure, depression, and anti-social anxiety). Over the course of the three years I was able to lose 40 pounds of the excess weight gained as a result of quitting smoking.
This past summer I was going through a lot of stress in my life (my adult son threatening and attempting suicide was one of them). I was thinking one day that I didn't have all the health issues when I was smoking and I was much better able to handle stress...so...you guessed it! I started smoking again. Well, I am roommates with my daughter and her 7 year old son and there is no smoking in the house. Smoking outside was great in the summer...but when winter and below temps set in it wasn't so fun smoking outside!
To make a longer story short...I decided to try the PV a few weeks ago. Ordered a cheap kit from China and waited 10 days for it's arrival. During that 10 days I had time to prepare myself for it. I received the kit at about 1:00 on a Wednesday afternoon, took it out of the package, put it together and started vaping. I have not had an analog since! I ordered a Marlboro tobacco flavored juice and it is awesome! I woke up the next morning and didn't have the coughing spell that normally lasted about an hour each morning...and have not had one since. I have not had a desire to even have an analog...something that had continued with me the entire time I had quit both times before. Not only that...but I have lost 5 pounds! That's right, lost NOT gained!! This is like a MIRACLE to me!!
Today, I received my Joye 510 kit in the mail that I had ordered online two days ago!! It is even better than my generic PV...which I thought was pretty awesome and found it sufficient for my needs, but I needed another PV because the kit I had ordered only came with one. I also ordered some flavored juices with my 510 and am now vaping hopscotch and loving it!!!
I can see where this will not become a new addiction to me, but a new hobby...lol.
