Sanneke and Ned -- way to go kids! Keep on keepin' on!

Are you backing off on the nicotine at all? Believe me, true freedom is actually OWNING the moment you CHOOSE to have an e-cig break instead of craving one...

I wish you both continued success!

P.S. Ned, where to you stay on Barbados? Gold coast? I am Crane Beach Man myself!

You know that is so true!
I love how you wrote that.

Many times during the day I even forget about the e-cig.
Many times after eating dinner I clean up the dishes before taking a couple of puffs of my e-cig.

That's just amazing, because I would always "finish" dinner with a cigarette, before doing dishes or cleaning up.

How cool is that?

Each old routine you conquer without cigarettes is a milestone, Sanneke. I'm with you on that USB-car charger cord combination. I don't leave the house for an extended trip now without it plugged in and my Janty resting in a nearby cupholder. I still carry the rest of the gear, but know that I won't run down a battery after a few hours on the road.

I am maybe slightly different.

Gave up smoking almost 8 months ago, but couldn't do it any longer :(

Went back to rollups for 3 days whilst waiting for my e-cig to turn up.

Havn't touched one since, don't want to touch one either.

The e-cig had to work, I really didn't want to smoke again, but the body was weak.

9 days & counting

That was great to see this thread pop up.

I have not smoked one single cigarette for 2 weeks now!
I don't miss it at all.

I'm taking it day by day, then two, then one week, now over two weeks.

If I can go 2 weeks without cigarettes, I can go 3 weeks, then 4 weeks.
And so on.

I never intended giving up but it has happened!! Over 40 years smoking roll-ups has ended in 12 days of smoking my Intellicig. I was somewhat skeptical at first but after 12 days I lost the desire for tobacco and when I rolled one last Tuesday I only managed two drags before I threw it away, it was disgusting! I never thought it could be that easy.
Yes I am the bloke who works at Intellicig and I am so glad I do!
If anyone out there would like a 5% discount on their order, all they need to do is put a link to Intellicig on their website and let me know. You can contact me via the Intellicig website.
All, the best, John.

These shameless plugs for your wares disguised as posts all over the board are getting old real quick. i doubt you'll win over any new custies this way. Go play in the supplier sandbox, won't you? :p

Not standing outside to smoke...liberation! It takes me back to my student days...sitting up late at night smoking, filling ash trays and hitting the Larkin. If this feeling is all an e-cig ever does for me ( a healthy dose of nostalgia) I'll be well pleased - and it's 2.5 weeks tomorrow without analogue!

I smoked for 34 years, roll ups for the last 10 of them.
I've tried to quit numerous times, the longest I've managed is 5 months.I started smoking my e-cig last Thursday and I've not touched a real ... since.Yippee its 6 days so far and the best bit is that it's so easy this way.
I want to tell every person who has tried and failed to become a non smoker to try e-smoking.I'm sure this is "the easy way to stop smoking".
Happy quitting all.:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Tomorrow morning, a week ago, at 9:00 am was the last time I lit up a cigarette, that's 168 hours without a "real" ciggy.

If you smoke a pack a day, over a time period of say 16 hours, you will light up about every 45 minutes, give or take.

In this one week, 7 days, I did not smoke 7 x 20 = 140 cigarettes.......

Imagine this, 140 smelly nasty yukky butts laying somewhere.

Not anymore.

It was trying at times, but not really.

My lungs feel better and so much lighter, I breath better, I don't have that smokers cough anymore, I do not hack, my husband tells me I breath lighter at night when I sleep.

Let's start "the quiting club", and support each other every day.

Congratulations!! My mother has had trouble quitting her whole life, and is trying desperately to convert.. but it has a tight grip on her. Other people that I know are facing the same problems as well.

That is so awesome. It really makes me happy to see that people are successfully breaking away from smoking analog cigarettes. Bravo! :thumb:
