Hi, I have two AW IMR 18350 that I got from the Provape webiste when I ordered my Provari mini and lately I've been noticing that the charge time has been getting shorter and shorter. Am I doing something wrong I don't let them go past 3.5 and I don't leave them on the charger for too long after the light turns green. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Before I ask a question to try to answer your question, I'd like to mention one thing: 3.5v being as low as you should let your batts get for long life, safety, etc is often said on ECF. It is incorrect. The AW rep on candlepower forum has written on this topic many times. He says keep them above 2.5v for longest life. I've never been able to find the first reference to the 3.5v number, but whomever is responsible for it probably just had a typo.

OK. that said: What charger do you have? Many chargers (like my xtar WP2 II's for instance) have a couple of settings for mah output. Those in my example can be set to 1000 or 500 mah output. If your charger has such settings, you may have inadvertently set it to a higher output. Higher output = faster charge times... but caution needs to be taken. From that example, 1000 mah output should be reserved for larger batteries like 18650's and smaller stuff like 14500s, 18350s etc should be charged at the lower setting of 500 mah.

If you are using an el cheapo charger with no such settings, then either you are draining your batts less than you have in the past or it may be indicative of a problem with your charger.

I run mine till they are about dead = no vape (so it's maybe 3v or so) and then charge them. They average 2-3 hours to fully recharge, but i use them all day on a vv REO.

I always charge them in a battery bag and like you try to take them off as soon as the light goes green - seems safer because after they are charged most chargers will just revert to a trickle charge mode anyway.
