Hey Folks, Looking at getting a mini as a back-up. Question (I'm familiar with the default ~1 hr/100mAh), but in real world does anyone have experience with the 18350's? I typically am running Boge3.0@4.9v (in a tank), between 3-5ml/day. I've only seen 700mAh AW IMRs (seems small to me...) is there anything bigger with enough C to handle VV current requirements?

I looked at the math a little and a 700mAh battery holds enough electricity to provide 0.7amps for 1 hour. If I'm drawing at a constant rate of 1.63 amps (example from original post), that 700mAh battery would only last for 0.7/1.63= 43% of an hour = 25.7 minutes = 1542 seconds = 308 (5 second) puffs = ~5 hrs at 60 puffs/hour (5 puffs every 5 minutes). How are people saying this is a full days worth?

I use e-pipe with a booster and 1.5Ohm EMDCC at around 4V. 7-8 ml a day, I guess. This takes 7 charged 18350s a day. So approximately one battery charge for 1 ml. I would not rely on 100mAh=1hour equation. It all depends on how intensively you vape. For one person 1 ml is enough for the entire day, for another 1 ml is not enough for just one hour.

And one more issue. Probably nominal capacity really is 700mAh. But you will never use all this capacity. As soon as voltage of battery decreases down to 3.5-3.6 V you will definitely want to replace it with a fully charged one as quality of vape decreases. Also deep discharge is not good for a battery in general. So I guess we really use only 300-400mAh of those 700.

Vape times are going to vary with usage, set voltage, ohms, etc and not all 18350s are equal. There may be some higher rated imrs out there but don't expect them to last longer, it's a small battery and in a boosted mod we're using them at higher voltages than they are rated for.

On my Mini I get 5ish hours out of a charge. I not as heavy as some, vape 2-3ml a day and usually use cartos/attys in the high 2s to 3ish ohms between 4.5 and 5v.

Thanks everyone, it's as a feared. I don't think a mini will do it for me. I might look at one of the Innokin iTastes 800mAh VV (v2). At least I could run that as a PT at work using USB to extend the day. Theoretically, I could get a few hours before work, 9 hrs at work, and a few hours after work without any down time.

I use the same boge 3 ohms at right around 4.8-5v on my provari mini. If you're going through 5-6ml a day then you'll probably be swapping the battery out once a day. I haven't done any meticulous testing, but an 18350 lasts me personally through most of the day, probably about 3ml per battery. I'm not a real heavy vaper and would rather have the smaller size so the mini works out well for me.

I vape pretty much the same ml of juice that you do but on a 1.5ohm hh357, I usually have the batt in my mod and then two spares on the ready. Depending on how much I get to vape at work I usually only use the one in my mod and one backup. For a full day mornin to night I never use more than the third. With a 1.5ohm I would think I would go through batts quicker than with a 3ohm carto so that is something to think about as well. There are definitely trade offs but I think the 18350aw imr is an overall good battery. I use a aw imr14500 as well but I find them to be slightly unacceptable, I really dont like going smaller than the 18350. To me carrying two spare batts is not a deal breaker but everyone sees things differently. I like the 18350 because it is nice power in a small package, anything smaller and it feels like I am sacrificing. Good luck.
