How many of you run your mech's in 18350 mode?
I tried my Magneto in 18350 mode and really like the size. I didn't actually fire it. My current build comes in at .8 ohms on my rda, and wasn't entirely comfortable pushing any of my AW IMR 18350 batteries that hard. I know they should be able to handle it, but that's a little closer to the edge than I wanted to be.
If you are using your mech in 18350 mode what kind of batteries are you using on what kind of build, and what kind of battery life are you getting?
Thanks.

18350 is my mechanical mode of preference, although I like 490/500 too, 350 is my fav. I usually run my builds between 1.2-1.5 ohms, on occasion I will go slightly lower.

I use AW IMR's however, after reading a published battery test (performed by a credible battery tester) for the purple Efest's , I picked up a pair. In fact just received them today. I am not a fan of Efest reds (v1&2), especially the 350.

Also not a fan of Efest batteries.

I use only the AW 18350 IMR 700mAh 6 amp batteries. No sub-ohms for this size battery; only 1.3 ohm or higher.

I feel like a bit of a sell out for caving in on the purple Efest, but they tested well, and I needed flat tops Bad! :p

I have previously renounced Efest on several occasions, and I still do not buy into their 35amp rating claims on the Purple 650.

Do the AW 18350 IMR button-tops not fit? These are really IMHO the best 18350 IMR batteries on the market.

Question for the Tech Engineers at Provape - please scroll down to post 5.

That is exactly it .. I have a few mechs that don't play nice with my nipples  as in I can't close up my tubes, especially with my top devices that have long, non adjustable 510 connections ... I would not usually use anything other than an AW 350, but as you know, AW doesn't make flat tops.

Going to read the link you posted. :)

Link to the battery test I was referring to ... At 2A the performance of the Efest purple is for the most part the same as the AW, although AW has a bit more mah. The AW is definitely better than the purple Efest at 3A and above, especially at 5A, but the performance of the Efest was at least acceptable.

I completely agree with you, AW is hands down the better battery ... but I can't have gaps in my tubes Bad. Hopefully you will not stop being my friend over the minor betrayal.

Yeah, I definitely agree that the AW batteries are the best. They are the only brand I own.
I was more interested in the kind of builds and battery life people were getting with them.
I was planning to build a dual setup in 1.2 to 1.5 ohm range to use in 18350 mode, but I currently only own one mech and one RDA. Everything else I use are my Russians on my my Provari's. The current build in my RDA is brand new and working so well I haven't had the heart to tear it out yet, lol.
I normally use my Provari mini in 18350 mode when out and about and my Magneto 18490 mode at home, but I'm finding that I like to take my dripper and mech out and about once in a while. :)

I don't mind taking extra batteries if it allows me to keep the size down. I even take backups for my backups when running to the store for milk. :)

I'm the same way. I have a battery case that goes with me everywhere. I don't get much more than a half hour from the 18350s though.

I run my Hammer clone with 18350s, the purple Efests. Currently the Kayfun I have on it is at 0.63 ohms. Was aiming higher, but it should be within the safety limits of the battery. Plan to go higher when I build the next coil though. Two batteries last well for a full night out (running them down to about 3.7v), and that usually means that I vape a lot (1.5 tanks or so I'd guess).

You and I could.... oh never mind. I'm too old for you.

I remember that line! I used to have a crush on Rocky when I was kid  Rocky 2-4 are my favorites though ... and I bet you could probably fill the hell out of a gap too! ;-)

.63 ohm? I am certainly no expert, but on a mech mod that would really be pushing an 18350 to the extreme. That's kinda scary!
You're an adult and I certainly wouldn't presume to tell you what to do, but be careful.

With a fully charged battery that's 6.66 amps. I use purple Efests with an amp rating of 10.5. That should leave me with a good safety margin. I'd never use red Efests or AWs anywhere near that low a resistance.
