18350 Mni Lavatube Probs

OK. so I picked up an 18350 mni Lavatube that doesn't want to turn on... It flashes red when a battery in placed in it, but then nothing... I'm assuming the flashing indicates it's sensing the battery so what might be the problem? Any thoughts or suggestions on how to get this little puppy up and running would be appreciated!!

Just guessing here but I had one of those and If I remember correctly you have to "turn it on" after putting the batteries in... try pushing the bottom menu button 5 times

I'm familiar with the 'turn on' process -- that's what doesn't work...

Remove the carto/tank/atty/etc before placing the battery in the mod. Then try the 5 click before reattaching the topper.

Mine sometimes fails to start with a topper on it while replacing the battery.
