If there's a signature required as I have read here and the paper comes in the mail Saturday and you're not home to receive it then.........

It sounds like you have this all figured out now but I just wanted to add that I believe you can have a neighbor sign for you if you leave a note on your door. I've done this before. Maybe rules have been changed since then.

don't you get charged shipping for each Reo or doesn't Rob combine shipping?

On a normal "shopping" I could ask Rob and arrange with him a combined shipping. But it was very complicated for me and for Rob. And at the end, both had been slightly unsatisfied. Maybe it is possible again, after Rob came back from a 6 week relaxing vacation.

I'm curious about your stratagy. Did you choose 1 Reo and check out and then go back for another? If so, don't you get charged shipping for each Reo or doesn't Rob combine shipping?

If you buy them all together then the shipping combines if they can be shipped in the same box. And if it is one sale. Multiple orders result in multiple shipping charges.

So your strategy was to order 1 Reo and check out then go back and choose another. Is that correct? I'm curious so I'll know what strategy to use when I win the lottery and can buy more than 1 Reo.

I did not do what I had planned to do which was to place the top two for each of us, a total of six in the cart. I got distracted and then stuck and kinda freaked out, everything I planned went out the window. I must say I regret not sticking with my plan. Yes, we got lucky and ended up with our first choices, but that was pure luck. I should have done it different. Might have turned out different but I would have felt better with each of us having the same odds on the first purchase. I admit I bought mine first. That was not right.

I'm glad to hear you listened to my advice about "sometimes you have to look out for yourself first". There's nothing wrong with that once in awhile.

Sure it was. In the airplanes when they're giving the safety equipment lecture, they always say to take the first oxygen mask for yourself and THEN help the kids. Although we're not talking lifesaving here, you still need to be in a good enough mindset to complete the tasks at hand, and taking care of your order first is part of having a good enough mindset to help everyone else.

There are a lot of stories of people, who put one mod into the cart, checked out - and are happy. There are some stories, where people put two or even three of their favorite mods into the cart - and finally lost them all.

Think about it

Andreas

If they can afford to buy two or three at a time, then they are probably used to being able to purchase whatever they want whenever they want. Reos aren't items that can be bought that way. Huge demand and limited supply means competition. Their frustration is understandable, but Rob has it set up to the best of his ability so that everyone that wants a mod is on a level playing field when the mods go on sale. It would certainly upset a lot of folks if they couldn't buy one due to a smaller number of buyers purchasing multiple mods. I believe that's called "cornering the market."

Exactly. That is why I'm curious out people's strategy.

I purchased three for myself. I would be o.k. with it if Robert were to limit as one per customer if he feels the need.

Everyone was in the same position to get their favorite. Fortunately, there are still mods left on the site.
