Actually...

18490 indicates that the dimensions are 18mm in diameter, and 490mm long.

The 18650 is 18mm in diameter, and.... you guessed it! 650mm in length.

Does this help?

....actually, it is 49mm and 65mm...I don't have any idea why they stick that extra 0 in there...of course, I haven't stayed in a Holiday Inn lately either.................

High-Power-18650-Battery-for-3-7V.jpg

Size (and mAh) - the two on the left are 18490, center is an 18650 and the two on the right are 14500's.

The numbers are the diameter and length (18x65.0, 18x49.0 etc).

ETA : The 14500 is the closest proximity to a standard AA battery (for size reference)

There are several posts where people are complaining that they don't hold a charge and seem under-powered. I have two on the way, so hopefully it's nothing, but all the complaints are making me nervous. But, now I know where to get the AW batts if the TF's go south now. Glad to hear something positive about them.

I sure hope they stay OK...they take a long time to charge, but with 2 in rotation, that's not an issue. I charge mine daily but have yet to have one die from lack of charge...and I honestly do vape pretty much constantly...about 3-5 mls per day.
