Goodmorning, well I just got my vamo and an agat2 in the mail yesterday. I bought two 18350 battery's and two ncr18650a 3100 mah battery's. Now here is my problem I am set on no2 with stacked 18350 the vamo rocks! With the 18650 not so much, dim screen much less vapor production etc. Has anyone else had this problem? The 650's were not cheap and I hear bad things about stacking. But if stacking is bad how do most laptops get away with it? Any input would be great. Thanks

From a supplies website-

*Battery Use: The Vamo V2 Variable Voltage/Wattage PV was made for use with IMR batteries only. Use IMR 18650 or 18350 batteries only in The Vamo V2 Variable Voltage/Wattage PV for user and device safety. Do Not use protected Li-Ion batteries in The Vamo V2 Variable Voltage/Wattage PV as this was not the chemistry nor specification of battery that it was designed or intended for.

What is the difference between protected, and unprotected make?

The Vamo has protection circuitry so the Protected batts won't deliver enuff juice. Protected batts are used mainly for Mechanical Mods. The batts you need for the Vamo are UNPROTECTED HIGH DRAIN.

From the Flashlight Guyz:
"The primary difference between the Protected and Unprotected batteries is that the protected batteries have a small circuit board, typically on the bottom of the battery, that stops the charging or discharge of the battery in certain circumstances. Some of the circumstances in which the circuit include: Over-Charge, Over-Discharge, Short-Circuit, and in some cases, overheating"

I bought two 18350 battery's and two ncr18650a 3100 mah battery's.

Those are protected 18650 cells you are using. You want unprotected cells as the vamo has built in protection. The 3400mAh panasonics is what you want (NCR18650B) or the 2250mAh panasonics (CGR18650CH). Of course theirs also Efest high drain 18650s and AW 18650s. I am fond on the panasonics myself. I do have 2 efest 800mAh 18350s, but the battery life is terrible in single 18350 mode.
