I'll be replacing mine soon and will be getting all aw imr from rtd. If you get samsung 25r do NOT get the button top, they mash the spring too much from what I hear. I have 1 aw imr and 4 panasonic cgr that I use, I can really tell a difference in throw of course, the aw is more comfy. The pannies are older, but the aw holds the top part of the charge from 4.2 to 3.9 longer. The vape starts to decline for me under 3.95 and under 3.9 I change em out. There are others that work fine, but the throw of the button and possibly the distance from spring to firing pin were designed for the height of the aw imr button top so that's what I'll use.

I'm using sony vtc5's and am finding I like them better than the aw batteries. They seem to last longer to me.

The Sonys do last longer, since they have a higher mAH rating, but as @Debadoo noted, they hold a charge above 3.9 longer than anything else I've seen so far. I change mine out at around 3.8-3.9, so that matters to me, but if you vape them a lot lower than that, the sonys will work. I'd be very careful that you're getting genuine batteries, whatever you get. The AWs from RTDvapor are genuine batteries.

For regular builds I use the 1600 AW IMR's. For attys built a bit lower I use Sony VTC4's and VTC5's. I was having issues with the blue samsung 25R's. I got my Aw's and Sony VTC4's from RTD, and VTC5's from somewhere recently posted as a trusted site..hmm I need to find that name again. They work really well.

So far, I'm liking the Samsung 30Qs and AW 3.7V 2200MAH... both work great for me. Just all depends on your build and device. I prefer button tops in the REO and flat tops in the SX Mini. And as mentioned before, whatever you decide, definitely go with rtdvapors. Great site, great prices, great service.

I forgot to say this part, thanks. I don't much about em myself, but I did see a thread awhile back of folks who actually tested, and the aw imr 1600 came out on top as far as holding the top part of the charge the longest, even better than the 2200's according to them. So that's what I'll be getting soon as I get my 4 new batts.

Soon after I first started vaping 27 months ago I bought 4 Efest Flat Top 18650's for the Sigelei's before switching to AW BT's for the Provari's. Have never had any batts from Sony or other brands. But do have batts that have been in daily use from the start that are still working just fine, including the Efest, even for my lowest s/o builds (.4). I KISS and buy nothing but AW from RTD anymore and have over 50 batts on hand now.

Not sure there's a definitive AW killer - they're still awesome.

Sony VTC 4's and 5's (if you can get the latter) are good, as are the Samsung 25R's. Some folks have seen some arcing increase with flat top bats (usually with lower ohm builds) in grands, so if button tops are a requirement for you, I'd say it's AW for the win.

Unless your builds are likely to be below, say, .5 ohms, any of the above can easily handle it with plenty of head room - all are rated for 20amps or above.

I like the AW 1600 for my Reos. The Samsung 25R, and the Sony VTC4 work good. But I don't like the flat tops in the Reo as much for some reason. I have to charge batteries every day around here. That is one reason I went with the AW 1600. I change batteries usually in the evening, but sometimes morning and evening both. I usually vape to 3.9-4.0 volts, and then recharge. I buy most of my batteries from Illumn. I wish they carried authentic AW batteries. Illumn so far is my favorite place to get vape batteries.

I for one never fell into the VTC hype and don't ever plan to. I changed all my batteries out to LG HE2's when they first came out and have never looked back. I vape regularly in the .2-.3Ω range and for the most part, get a complete day out of them in any of my devices. Granted, I do vape multiple devices throughout the day, but none the less, I change batteries out once a day in my devices. I would also add that depending on what device you are using them in makes a difference as well. I can vape them in my Reo pretty regularly down to the 3.5v range daily and on my Peko I seem to vape them down to around 3v. The only thing I can attribute this to is the Peko just hits like a freight train vs the Reo... I think the conductivity is better for some strange reason. I've never tested both, (only the Reo), but the Peko definitely hits harder. I vape both equally throughout the day, but at home I usually am vaping the Woodvil. There is just something magical about the 2015 Woodvil's.... They just frickin' ROCK!!!
