18650 charging time

I just received my SS Vamo and I'm waiting for the batteries to charge. How long will I be waiting?

depends on charger, how much charge is in the batts when you got them, You can probably expect several hours at least.

How many mAh is the battery rated at? If it's 2000mAh+ and the battery was dead when you plugged it in, it's usually about six hours (for me).

mine charges in 64 and 1/2 hours. granted it's a little long but well worth the wait...

Take the charge capacity of the battery, divide it by the output of charger. A 2000mAh battery takes 4 hours to get from completely drained to fully charged on a 500mAh output charger.

This is of course theoretical. There are many variances i cannot account for. But with a high quality battery and high quality charger, the actual result should not deviate too much from theoretical calculations.

I think they are 2250 efest batteries. New.

My trustfire charger sucks. Takes 10 hours to charge a 2000mAh. Gonna upgrade to xtar soon.

I have nitecore 3100mah batteries for my HO flashlight and they take 6-7 hours to charge. They last along time though

Not sure the brand of chargers I have, but the panasonic 2250 mah usually charges up in about 7 hours or so. I have two in rotation. On the average I am getting 19 hours of vape time from each battery

I'd say my 2000mAh AW IMR 18650s take roughly 5 hours on my 500 mA Trustfire charger. I've never timed it, but I've had it done in about 5 hours at least, so my guess is it takes a little less than that, which means it's not too far off the 2000mAh/500mA=4h formula, taking into consideration some inherent uncertainty.

I have several batteries exactly for the reason of having to wait. There's always a freshly charged battery at hand! When buying a PV that takes 18650s, getting two 18650s, or perhaps a 18650/18350 combo in the case of the Vamo, is a choice you will never regret.
