hey guys. so i typically run my mech mod in 18650 mode. right now I'm waiting to get paid and then I'm gonna pick up a kick to add safety and VW to my mech. i never thought about this til now but if i were to incorporate a kick in my mod do i need to go down to an 18500 battery or can i use my 18650 still even with the kick. i have a stingray clone with all extension tubes. from the looks of it i should be able to use 18650 plus a kick but i read on an online venders page that if I'm gonna use a kick i should step down to an 18500 battery. any thoughts?

That's entirely dependent on your stingray clone whether it has all the right tubes.

The kick is going to take up about 15 to 20 mm; call it 18 mm.

the battery takes 65 mm; so you need enough mm = about 80mm. One of the pieces for your stingray should be a ring about 20 mm long; this is the kick ring.

sigelei also sells a 510 threaded front end kick attachment that attaches to the front of any 510 threaded mech.

there ought to be some small adjustment you can make, either on the topcap or bottom cap;; on other mods there is usually a bottom spring so a millimeter or two is not a problem.

Then the kick module themselves are not made all exactly the same length but they seem to be around 17 to 18 mm in length.

I myself have the infinite stingray and a nemesis clone the kick v2 I have fits perfectly in the neme but the stingray is a no go in 18650 mode even with a flat top and have tried several batteries including Sony ' s and efest's to no avail. The only way I made it work was completely unacceptable to me but I had to have threads showing for the 18500, 18350 and switch. This is as close as i can get to fitting my evolv kick in my stingray. ..granted it works like this but looks horrible
