I just got an 18650 battery for my silver bullet from altsmoke.com. i have a few questions..they need to be answered asap.

1. can i charge the battery overnight without having to worry about safety?

2. Do i have to use up the entire battery until it is fully dead to charge it again? Or can i use it for a day and "top off the charge" until it is fully charged again?

I dont want to damage the battery or cause any safety problems..thanks

Do NOT leave that battery chargin while you sleep. I refuse to leave an eGo charging at night. I am certain that catastrophic battery failure is not a common occurence but, like my father always says, if that 1% chance happens to you then the odds were 100%.

Not sure about the top off charge but I don't think it would be an issue as long as you remove it once fully charged.

It's generally recommended to leave a battery in a charger only as long as it takes to charge it. Having said that, I'm sure all of us have left a battery in one for extended periods and nothing bad has happened. Most of the better chargers have safety features that turn off the charging feature once the battery is charged up. I keep my charger in a pyrex cookware plate just to be safe should a battery go into thermal runaway. There are special bags to put your charger into on various vendor websites if you wish to be extra diligent about safety. What brand battery did you get and what brand charger did you get? The Pila and Xtar chargers are the two best brands available to vapors.

I generally vape on my devices until it stops working. I always have a couple of extra charged batteries for each of my devices, and rotate them for use (mark them to help tell them apart if you need to).

I'd also recommend to not skimp on battery brands. I only buy authentic AW brand batteries for my mods. I get mine from RTD Vapor. Super T is another often recommended site. I'd also recommend storing your charged batteries in the plastic battery cases when not in use. A pocket full of change can conduct the batteries charge and cause some problems.

I'd personally stay away from any off brand batteries, even with the word Trust in their name.

I beleive it is an XTAR charger. AW18650 protected battery. everything i got was from altsmoke.

another random question...can i use WD40 for the threads of the SB instead of NOALOX? it seems like it would do the same thing.
I wouldn't use WD40. Noalox is what is recommended, as it is specifically for aluminum, and will keep the Silver Bullet's threading from locking up. You can get a lifetime supply from any hardware store for a few bucks; I found mine at Lowe's in the electrical section.
