Hey guys, I bought my first new e cig 9 days ago and have been smoke free since. It's a totally wicked VScope. But the samsung battery it came with, even though I never dropped the battery or was even rough with it. And it's also not really tight in the tube body either. But somehow it got a 2mm-ish chip. Then 2 little more than pin hole sized chips in the center of it above the 18650 mark. I put 1 small piece of electrical tape over each chip. I didn't like the idea of it being exposed a tiny bit inside of a metal tube, even though like I said it's not a tight fit. I could actually probably add another small piece of electrical over the chips and it might still fit in the battery tube.Is this okay to use until Monday or another weekish till I can make it to my local vape shop? They're closed tomorrow, and this is my only battery for now. When I get my new one i'll need to make sure the outer covering is thicker as I have not misused these batteries or dropped them. Pictures provided below, the pieces of tape I used are actually a lot larger than the holes actually are, just wanted to make sure they were fully covered. I have a bit of anxiety when it comes to saefty, trying not to freak myself out. Thanks for any responses I get if any in advance, Looking to post more later on. Battery.jpg

I always end up with the same problem with my battery's. In that VV device that you have the nicks on the wrap are not much of a problem as long as they are not right at the top (positive side). The rest of the battery is ground, which is always in contact with the spring on the bottom anyways (a mech would be a different story). You can always put a new wrap on the battery, it's super easy as long as you have a hair dryer or lighter. 18650 Battery PVC Wrap Clear (Pre-cut, 10 Pieces)

I would also take a look down the tube and look for any sharp edges that would be cutting the battery wrap. I always end up nicking them on the threading on my mods.

Thanks dude, that makes me feel better. Yeah there's no other nicks but that's gotta be where they are coming from. It's got threads that run pretty deep inside because if I want to use a short battery. I can take the tube extender off and thread it fully in to shorten it. I have be more careful when I slide the battery in now. I'll use this one for a few more days then i'll toss it safely away. And just buy a new one possibly. Just took it out and inspected the top and bottom again, completely fine. And the tape is %100 in tact still, I think it'll be okay for now.
