okay... first off...

your batteries are a wrap if they are ijoys.. please replace them with something like sony VTC6, samsungs, or LG HG2 batteries for the 18650, which(i don't use the 26's so can't advise).

if you have a friend or such who has windows, see if you can get the program on their computer long enough to properly update your mod so it works properly... macs are nice enough, but sadly not enough things work with them, they're too much of a pain... oh and fyi since you're not tech savy, if someone told you mac's don't get viruses and you don't have anti-virus software... they lied... they can get them, they're just less as likely so get viruses and their close cousin malware, get protection.
There are no "authentic" 26650s. The major manufacturers don't make them. The Ijoys are about the best out there. True 30 amp batteries.

This is a known issue with early firmware on the 75's. all you need do is update the DNA75 board with E-scribe. Even if all you have is a Mac there is a way to run E-scribe on it.
Do a google search, E-scribe on a Mac. Once you have E-scribe working, connect your DNA75 mod, the rest should be obvious :)

You could go to the library & use their Win computer. That's what i did,, escribe is free.

Go through the tutorial first, 20 minutes.
Go to escribe, see when your board was programmed, download service packs, set up your profiles.
I'm not a computer whiz, & was surprised at how easy it was.
You can also go to the DNA forum for advice or tips. Windows not required.
Good luck..

I made it easy..?

There is no flaw, you've reached your batteries cut off point. On escribe you can profile a blinking icon if weak battery is scary. You can lower your cut off point, i use 2.6 volts.

This is a single cell device, can't run at 75 watts all day. More like a 45 watter in my opinion.
Hint Sony Vtc5, a whopping 2.59 Watt hours, twice that of any other cell.
Hint A123 systems liFePo4 26650, good luck in finding a real one.
Hint Use low builds, .2 or lower. This will force your device into a buck mode. Your vape will be smoother, increase in run time.

BTW, i happen to be a YiHi fan boy..

Darn straight. Mac's get viruses
I use Security software to protect my smat phone.

The vtc5 isn't the highest capacity cell. For 20-amp cells the Samsung 30q, LG hg2, and Sony vtc6 have a higher capacity. The vtc5a is better than the vtc5 in almost all regards. Also, liFePo4 batteries have a lower nominal voltage so they won't do good in regulated devices. A low battery cutoff very quickly.

I'm not referring to current capacity, I'm thinking energy capacity, hense Watt/ hrs.
Thanks for your insight on the liFePo4, still like to try one though..

HG2's are roughly 7-9Wh each, depending on the discharge current level. Just about every 18650 we use has a Wh rating much higher than 2.59. Other batteries with a higher Wh rating than the VTC5 include the VTC5A, 30Q, VTC6.

Authentic A123's are easy to find. Astounding batteries but useless in regulated mods though due to their lower 3.3V nominal voltage. You'll get weak/low battery warnings very quickly.

Calculated from the mAh the vtc5 is 9.25 whrs. The vtc6, hg2, and 30q are 11.1 whrs. That's nominal. Less in actual use.

all i really know is I'm not willing to go on my PC every now and then to "update" my chip. I thought it was no work required. I barely understand two words any of this means. So, it's on me. Shoulda read about what I was buying more. Probably will sell this mod to anyone interested for store price. I'll give battery away too, the iJoy. Takers? -Is there really not one battery or tweek by hand to make this message simply disappear without Escribe?? Does "weak battery" basically mean unsafe/your in danger/legit warning/maybe has a chance of venting or combusting, yes or no?? In that case I could just possibly keep using it like a caveman and ignore the message lol...but my conscious really does get the better of me.

lmao unless i'm using them... i'm very good at draining hg2's... i need vaper's anon some days, i ended up getting a dual battery mods just for that purpose, triples would just encourage me. me chain vaping so i don't run that little PoS car over who's going half the speed limit and doesn't know how to drive, never mind in canuck winters... as i go to pick up parts on some days, both the tank and the batteries magically go poof...

i don't own any DNA's... but i have a question for you, what were you looking for in a mod, maybe we can guide you towards one that is better suited towards you?

The "weak battery" message *was* a common issue in the first firmware versions for the dna75, later firmwares fixed it... If this is the issue I am thinking of, you are not going to solve it by cleaning contacts or popping in a new battery... It is actually quite easy, in the amount of time it took you to post this message you could have updated 3 mods, and if you have the intelligence to navigate through this cluster.... of a forum I'd say you are more than qualified to use it.

But if you really don't want to use escribe, I'd also suggest returning it for a different mod. The advantage of having a DNA board is escribe, that's the whole point... and they also require some fiddling around in escribe to get them working properly (for example if your mod still has an early firmware version, chances are case analyzer has not been run, and also, I can tell you for sure that your material csv's will be wrong and need to be replaced). If that is not something you want to do, then there is absolutely no point in having a DNA board. Re:Unnecessary. Return it and get a much cheaper one.

    Edit :
I don't know much about boards other than dna ones, but I've heard the joyetech ones are very easy to use and don't require much fiddling. Also, I've been told they do TC quite well... Still, I think most modern boards will require a firmware update every now and then.

Yea...typically a lot less as the 3.6V/3.7V used in Wh calculations is the nominal voltage only at fairly low current levels. It is a good place to start for a rough estimate though.

    It's not dangerous, just inconvenient.

If you're using an iJoy, the best 26650, your choices are limited. You can switch to the VTC5A, an 18650 that holds its voltage high. But that won't be too much better than what you have now.

What's very effective is lowering your power setting, maybe a lot. This is probably not an acceptable option though.
