Hey Folks,

Before making the leap into VV, I am trying to educate myself. I do understand the basics of volts, ohms, amps, watts, and mah.

Searching the threads in ECF, I see that many VV mods use or can use an 18650 battery. (ProVari for example) All of the 18650 batteries I have seen are 3.7V, which leads to my question...

How can a 3.7V battery do VV in the range *above* 3.7V? Or am I mistaken about 18650s being 3.7V only?

Thanks, JJ

TI makes a great booster chip that can be modded to vv (4050c board) Its a great board and easy to work with. Your other option is to run the 2 18650 in series and build a vv board based on that Ti makes another great board for that (8100) Both work great, but with the 8100 you will get longer battery life and more voltage range, as it is designed for vv mods. Do a search for the evercool vv mod and breakthru's booster mod shows schematics and voltage ranges. I have both and like the (8100) evercool design the best.....good luck!
