You would have to order some stronger version of the same juice and mix it with the 18, say 24 and 18 to make 21, or 36 and 18 to make 24. Might be worth it if you bought a lot of the 18. Or you could just sell it on the classifieds...or save it, you might want to use it in the evenings if you vape more then...
just some ideas for you.

That was how I felt when I first tried 18mg. Just didn't cut the craving. When you get the 24mg mix 1ml of it with 1ml of 18mg to get 21mg. See if that kills the craving. If it doesn't then do the 24mg striaght up. I started using the 24mg straight up and it killed the craving but now I order 18mg at 60/40 and 24mg at 70/30 and mix to get 21mg of 65/35 and that is the sweet spot for me. Vape the strength that kills the craving entirely.

just curious, what about the 18 wasn't cutting it? just not enough nic, not enough throat hit? were you starting to get withdrawel symptoms?

I think it's a combination. Not enough nic and not enough th. I've only smoked half a pack in 3 days, which is awesome, I just want that to go down to 0.

Best way to strengthen it and keep good flavor is to mix it with the same, similar, or goes-with-anything higher nicotine juice.

A couple of goes-with-anything would be a good sweet vanilla (which can also be used to fix any fruit or dessert flavor you don't care for or even sweeten a tobacco), a good plain tobacco (even the Chinese Dekang PG juices like DK-TAB or USA-Mix etc).

And remember - if by "not enough" you mean the TH, VG dulls TH and flavor, PG lets them through (as well as letting through nicotine's irritation better). It is even possible that PG may let through nicotine's physical effects better or quicker since it obviously seems to provide better contact with the membranes in your mouth and throat - we don't know. PG vapor is what hospitals use to deliver drugs by inhalation.

Something else to keep in mind. New vapers may find some flavor/aroma types leave them satisfied while other types might leave them with analog cravings. Pay attention to which flavors leave you antsy and unsatisfied and avoid those type of flavors for now. I could not vape food flavors when I first started - to me it felt like snacking and gave me a craving for an analog. Some other new vapers can't vape tobacco flavors because they are reminded of cigarettes and that makes them want one. Some can vape anything.

Interesting... I've ordered some sweet food flavors, but they haven't arrived yet. I was wondering if they would satisfy the urge or not. How long would you say it took for the food flavors to not cause a craving for you?

I'm an 18mg kinda guy most of the time, but recently got a load of 24mg juices as at the time it was all the vendor offered, save for one, I actually didn't really notice much difference. I think it depends on the type of juice. On sweet, fruit or dessert flavours, they say more nic will give more of a peppery taste and throat hit to them. On tobacco flavours I think it adds to the 'raw deepness' of tobacco, can help pronounce the earthy flavours and really help with throat hit. I found this especially true on a Dekang based Ry4 recently where, until steeped for 1.5 weeks it was excessively harsh.

Delivery method will help too. Try a dual coil cartomizer. They give out hot vapour and Throat hit is definitely stronger on them then say a standard boge carto or a CE2 for example. I wouldn't worry about vaping 24mg straight too much, it's not 'that bigger' jump up from 18mg really. If you were talking 36mg or (heaven forbid above) then sure, I think you'd have more to worry about.

Lots of people vape 36. You need what you need. Nothing wrong with that.

I vape 24mg all the time - sometimes I bump it up to 36mg if I feel the need. If the goal is to stay off the analogues, go with the 24mg and don't worry about it. I don't know why so many people worry about it because even 36mg is far, far better than smoking cigarettes!

By the way, 18mg doesn't work for me either. I've tried repeatedly but I keep craving cigs, so I've decided that when I hit my 2-year vaping mark, I'll go down to 23mg. It's progress.

I started out at 18mg (DIY), noticed it "just didn't cut it", cravings were there. Made a second batch at 24mg. Ahhh. Good.
But a little too good for weekends, when I'd vape all day. At night I'd feel restlessness and get hot feet.

I recently ordered Chocolate mint at 36mg, so I could cut it down to whatever I need with VG.
Equal parts 36mg juice+VG=18mg which works for me, as my taste buds have recovered a bit and I find the taste a bit strong "stock".

So now I carry around my 2 bottles, vape 18mg regularly, and when I feel I need a better "hit" I drip a couple of 36mg drops on my atty and WHAM! Like internet TV; instant gratification!

Hi, I get what you are saying. I'm a new user too (one week) and so far off analogs. I ordered 18mg at first but accidentally got a box of 36mg and after I tried it, I didn't notice at first, tiny printing...it was way more like regular menthol cigarettes, throat hit, that I was used to with analogs. So I think I will order 24mg next time.

Good luck!

I think this e-cig thing is great!
