1st battery charge

Just received my Volt. I read where someone on here said they let their Ego charge for 8 hours for first charge even though it showed fully charged prior to the 8 hours. There is nothing in the instructions for a minimum charge. I have the 78mm battery. Is there a minimum amount of time to charge to make sure it gets a 100% for the first time? I know most Ion battery operated equipment works this way and is found in instructions.

Most e cig batteries are Li Ion. Just need to charge until the charger indicates a full charge.

Charging for a set amount of time is no longer necessary

My understanding was that most slim profile batteries (510, etc.) benefited from a trickle charge. Is this true, and if so what type of battery is this?

Lithium Ion does not benefit from a trickle charge. There are variable chargers out there but a "top off" wears down the battery faster.

Li batteries don't have memory either so you really don't need to charge it all the way. You can read about Li batteries here: batteryuniversity.com

I was under the impression that a large portion of ecigs ran on LiCo technology.
Can someone confirm ?
