Hi Kalifornia, Wlecome to the ECF. I find it rare if not next to improbable any more to get any "head rush" when vaping.. The issue, as far as I know, is the fact that the nicotine in your vapor is much slower to absorb in our blood stream so that initial rush of nicotine associated with smoking is harder to achieve.. I also whole heartedly believe a large portion of the head rush associated with analogs to be from asphyxiation to some extent. Combine these two factors and it points toward it being unlikely you will find a big head rush when vaping.
