WEll I got my eGo in the mail this morning, charged up both batteries, 2 drops in the Atty, 8 in the cart and started vaping away! Its interesting lol, I mean its different in the way that Im smoking , but not.. But I love it.. I have 36 mg of the marb/american blend and its not bad at all. I was worried by a few ppl who thought the taste was horrible, but its not bad at all.

At first being the genius I am, I set everything up and just dropped some liquid in the atty, and puffed away, Not realizing that the cart had no filter inside. and I was puffing completely off the atty

WEll Once i put an actual cart on there , and filled it up with juice, it made it just a weeeeeeee bit better.. :) Like as in alot better.. SO after one day down, I have not smoked one cig all day ( One PPD is avg for me ) and Im not craving one , So I want to thank everyone here and CLiff especially for all your help .. Hopefully the start of a very good thing!!

Questions

On the Carts, Whenever I am losing Vapor I just take the cart off and add 2-4 drops .. Is this OK, or should I completely use up one cart, then either clean the filter / or open up another cart.. And as for the filters ( Is that what they're called , In the cart ) Is there a certain time to change them/ or toss them?

Attys.. How will I know when they need to be replaced? Im assuming when I have a full cart and a fully charged battery, and get no vapor? And I bought a 2 pack of the LR attys.. Are these any different than the ones that come in the eGo kit?

Bottom line I love it, and just wanna know how to get maximum vapor and keep this running as good as is does..

Oh btw, about battery life, ( 5-10 hrs in the manual ) Ive been puffing on this thing constant since about Noon, and the light on the eGo still isnt red.. Very impressed :)

Here's http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ng-you-ever-wanted-know-about-your-510-a.html, it should answer your cartridge and atomizer questions pretty quickly, really helped me out when I was first using a 510, as the attys are the same as the eGo. The author sums it up better than I could.
Your LR attys are meant to simulate approx. 5 Volt vaping in warmth, throat hit, and vapor production on lower voltage devices like your eGo. IMO they do this pretty well, but since they run so much hotter, they do burn out quicker as well, especially if you vape them dry. always keep them wet and they last about a month or so, ymmv. The quality of the vape is worth it though, and the eGo works with LR attys as good as any device out there, if not better.
And what's up to a fellow MN vaper!:vapor:

Personally I use a blue foam cart mod, you can browse the modder forum and experiment to find one you like. With the blue foam mod I can fill it with 12 drops and vape it dry, and it lets me know when I need to fill it by the taste.

Opinions may vary here, but generally if it heats up it's good to go IMO. I flush them with hot water and dry burn them when they aren`t producing like I think they should, or drastically change flavors. I`ll switch tobacco flavors without cleaning. Atty cleaning info varies and there`s plenty of opinins on here.

The LRs are made to simulate a higher voltage mod. The will get hot quicker, produce more and warmer vapor, and generally don`t last as long. And yes, they are different than the ones you got in your kit.

The light will not go red. It will suddenly start flashing white and without warning be dead. Also, your LR attys are going to cut your battery life nearly in half.

Very appropriate timing with those questions. I just got my eGo today too.

I got TW's version with mega batts, attys, and carts. This thing is amazing. Completely blows the KR8 I've been using out of the water. Vapor production is awesome, and I've been puffing on my battery for over 7 hours now with no signs of it quitting. Super happy with my purchase.

+1 what Zbass said...covered everything well. The only thing I may add is until you buy some blue foam, mod your cart with what you already have on hand with Highping's cart mod...it's very simple and very effective:

The other thing you may want to experiment with is dripping. I sorta held off on dripping for a little while, but now that's the only way I vape at home...great taste and vapor. Try this only if you have manual batteries.

Just drip 2-3 drops directly on the wick (woven metal loop) inside the atty, replace tip (use empty protective tips that came w/ your new atty), and vape. Add a couple of drops When you notice a slight decrease in vapor.

If you like dripping, order a drip tip so you don't have to keep removing/replacing the tip. This is one, but many suppliers sell them
