Hello,
First off this site is great, lots of information. I'm pretty sure I want I want to try the e-cig thing to help me cut down.

Been reading all morning and have to get onto other things but still have one big question.

Picked a site, won't say which as I'm not advertising. Looking at a starter kit and some extra cartridges. Adding juice to the order will double the price.

Hence my question. After reading for hours I can't figure out if the juice is necessary or you just use it for an extra hit / flavor. Is it something you should buy right off? Or is the starter kit and cart's enough?

Thanks
Psjoe

I would buy blank carts and Juice.... there's more up front cost, but you will be able to use that juice for way longer then the same cost of pre filled carts.

Lets say you spend $50 for a carton of cigarettes (on average).. that equates to about 4 cigarettes per $1.

I dont know what kind of device you are looking at, but unless you get a DSE801(Penstyle) or a DSE701(E-Cigar), most carts are only around 4 cigs worth (before they need topped off).

So, you get about 1 pack of cigs worth of carts (around 5$ for 5 of them, prefilled, about 20 cigs worth) and you are not really saving money there.... you are cutting out the tar and carcinogens, but not saving money.

If you go with juice, you can spend ~20$ on Carts and go to Walmart and get extra Polyfill if you need to restuff them, and for 30$ you get (depending on where you go) 30ml of juice.

The 20$ you spend is really like 13$ for the blank carts, 7$ for the stuffing that you get 1000's of carts worth of.

Then you just keep buying juice to refill...

30ml of juice has been lasting me and my wife for 3 weeks now, and we still have some left...

If you are comfortable with it, you can use Vegetable Glycerin to mix down the nicotine content if you order higher nicotine levels, and it also makes the smoke thicker...(and turns your 30ml of liquid into 40 or 50ml of liquid if you mix that much in...)

You can also order Flavorless liquid, and get Loranns Candy flavoring (concentrates) to make your own flavors.

You can do so much more with liquid, and you save money over the cost of normal cigarettes.

If you order from China you can get very good deals on liquid, driving the cost down even further... for instance, 100ml for 50$, ...thats 1/2 price compared to here in the States, but you run the risk of Customs finding it...

To each their own, I would suggest getting liquid so that when your carts run out, you can refill them.

I don't see how anyone can vape without juice. I'm constantly rejuicing my cartridge -- several times a day. The cartridge seems to last forever, but only if you juice them. I think some people might think their batteries or atomizers aren't working, but they just need to juice.

Also, I've found that I need to drip onto the atomizer a couple of times a day to "prime" it and keep it cooled.

The juice isn't expensive. eSmokeyTreats's juice is $9.99 a bottle. I've been using one bottle several times a day for a week, and I can't tell any is gone from it. It doesn't take much to rejuice -- maybe four or five drops tops.

If you stay rejuiced, blow through your atomizer a couple of times a day, prime it a couple of times a day, and switch batteries once every 3 or 4 hours, you get lots of vape from every puff, and none of it causes any problems.

P.S -- The best way I've found to rejuice is pull the wick out with forceps and drip on all sides. It's not as messy as dripping into the cartridge, and the wick gets nice and juiced that way.
