Hello, taking the plunge after much reading of this forum and recomendations of a vape-er.

I just received my janty ego kit and have some questions i hope someone can help with (theres tons of helpful info in here but i'm a bit bewildered)

ok, what i want to know is;

is the cartridge thats already fitted to the atomizer and battery pre-filled with juice when you get the kit?

the five extra cartridges are prefilled right?

so, do i vape with the above and NOT use the supplied bottle of juice till they run out?

and my other question; confused about where to put the juice; it talks of 'pre-filled cartridges - the cartridge is the bit that goes in your mouth and you suck the vapour through the little hole right? surely you dont drip juice into that?

how do you drip juice into the atomizer? just remove the cartridge and drup it into the atomizer onto that little thing that looks like a piece of felt/ wire wool?

and one cartridge (or 3 drips of juice) is roughly equivalent to one packet of fags??

Any advice on these key points much appreciated as i'm down to my last 3 'real fags' while the ego is charging so i'm keen to get started tonight, and i dont want to flood anything or have a nicotine overdose etc

many thanks in anticipation, Ten.

So, i'm into day 2 (using one of the supplied cartridges)....

should i be dripping a couple of drops of juice in there? or changing the cartridge maybe tomorrow?

juice into the cartridge? i note its packed with foam of some sort.

nice taste by the way - like almonds or something

its all a bit confusing this, a simple step by step instruction chart with diagrams wouldve been helpful

ok, basically has anyone else used the janty Ego kit and can tell me what to do......do i use up the cartridges and then top them up with juice? or put the juice in straight away??

Hello & welcome Ten Bob :)

The prefilled cartridges do already have juice in them, so no need to put any juice in them straight away. However, as soon as the vapour drops off, add some juice to the cartridge - just enough so that it pools slightly on top of the foam. You can also add a drop to the atomiser as well. You can keep refilling the cartridges over & over again. And if the white filling they come with gets too gungy, you can either wash it out or restuff it with either fluval or the blue foam that several vendors sell.

thank you so much chrissie, just the advice i was seeking :)

so 2 or 3 drops in the cartridge and maybe a drop in the atomizer - just so i'm clear, when you remove a cartridge, to put juice in the atomizer youre dripping it into that metal tube with the thing that looks like a little flint or piece of wire wool at the bottom?

yes, day two - fully charged it last night but today the vapour dropped off quickly and i wasnt getting much of a nicotine hit (day two on a new cartridge too) - so i've fully charged the battery again ; next step will be to put juice in the cartridge if its still not giving a great hit.

I really appreciate this help as the vast ammount of info in here is bewildering ::::::::)

A 510 cart with polyfill (the white stuff) only holds 8 or 10 drops. A ml is somewhere around 20-24 drops, depending on the size drop your bottle produces.

Vapor drop off is an indicator that you are beginning to starve the atomizer. It's time to refill the cart. OTOH, vapor drop off with a gurgling noise indicates a flooded atomizer. Turn it over and blow through the battery end until you get a drop in the sink or on a towel. Then, vape until it recovers.

When you are filling a cart, drip into the filler until it pools on top of the filler and then use the bottle to suck up the overage. That prevents flooding the atomizer when you insert the cart.

Since you have the Ego, take a look at the Tank atomizer. The tank is clear all the way to the mouthpiece if you buy the blue or clear tips and there's no filler in the tank cart. Vapor and taste are consistent from fill to empty. The Tank works best with juices in the 70pg/30vg up to 50/50 mixes. You'll need to order a syringe to fill it. It's a lot easier and better than messing with carts or cartos.

once again thanks;

chrissie, i did as you said, maybe a bit cautious and just used 5 or 6 drops, and a drop in the atomizer..

great result, feels right and possibly even a better hit than the filter tipped cigars i was smoking! this is great as i was disheartened today, thought vaping wouldnt work and i went and bought a tin of cigars (handy as an emergency back up anyway)...so i'm definately going to carry on vaping

DaveP; yes i'll look into one of those tanks, sounds a good idea. having said that, this proccess of drippping and reassembly is really no more hassle than maintaining and fuelling my zippo

much obliged:)

Spot on Bob (love your id BTW :D) topping up your cartridges with e-liquid becomes second nature & hardly takes any more time than lighting a real cig. Don't get me wrong, I think the tanks AVS's, AFS's etc are all wonderful, amazing inventions but I actually enjoy the faffing of refilling my cartridges - yes I know I'm strange :D

its trial and error so far..getting an idea how often to charge the battery etc.

I'm tending to top up the pre-filled carts with 5 or 6 drops of juice daily but maybe need more as it's feeling like smoking fresh air towards the end of the day. (does tha5t sound right??)

Must admit its great whe its fully charged up and juice topped up- its almost like that youthful 'first cigarette high' but without the nausea and vommiting !

just looking at a tank atomizer for my Ego...so, do i have to buy empty cartridges to go with this or can you fill the atomizer itself (with the syringe as you mentioned?)

To use the tank system you need both the eGo-T atomizer and the eGo-T tank cartridges. You pop the empty cart/tank onto the atomizer until it gets punctured, then take it off again and fill through the bottom at the hole you just made. Pop it back on there and vape. It's pretty similar in function to a fountain pen.

You need to top up a cartridge more often than that. Obviously it does depend on how often you are vaping :)

Ten Bob, hello!

Just so you're clear about the tank that Rosa mentioned, you need the tank atomizer and the tank cartridge. However, there's no filler in the tanks, and so they can be reused almost indefinitely. I'm a fairly heavy user, and a fill up on the tank (1.1 ml, I believe) lasts me well over 8 to 10 hours of vaping. I think I saw somewhere that it holds @50 "drops", so its an all-day-long cart for me. With a spare filled tank cart, you're probably good for overnight (with a spare battery, of course).

If you find that's to your liking, they also make a battery that's compatible with much higher mAH (1000, instead of 650). I have a 900 mAH battery on a different PV, but I can't drain it in a full day of vaping.

Just get a spare battery (with the shut-off function) and a few extra tanks if you're worried about running out of juice or... juice. The tanks come with a nice little rubber cap so you can carry several pre-filled. Very convenient! And ya, the batteries last a long time, the extended 1000mAh one should last even a heavy vaper all day and it's only an inch or so longer.
