I have a Segelei 150 watt and I'm pretty sure it is run in series instead of parallel. What does that mean? I mean am I really safe building these alien Claptons that read at .1?
Series = more volts = higher power. You don't have to build so low. So with your proposed build if you were running an unregulated box somewhere near 700watts. But as your using a regulated box which adds a bit of safety, very fast ramp up, but I would suggest that you don't build that low.
It is a regulated mod so how the batteries are connected inside it is irrelevant. You set the watts and the chip in it adjusts it's output to your coil resistance as long as it is within the range of resistance for the mod. Having the batteries in series makes it easier for the mod to crank out a higher wattage.
As long as the box is fine firing a .1 build then you are good to go. Just use a good high drain set of batteries in it and keep em paired.
Which type of batteries? Im about to get the Ipv3 li vr with a smok tfv4. I assume that because the tank being sub ohm I should be pretty safe using the sony vct4 batteries because of their 30 amp ability. Right?
Keep in mind that there in series so you get double the voltage of a single battery but you only have the amperage of one. Use a good set of batteries. LG HB6, LG HD2 or sony VCT4. I use the HD2's in mine
