Decision by US chain CVS to stop offering analogs and other tobacoo products by Oct 1st in its 7,600 nationwide stores has generated literally thousands of articles. I've only read perhaps fifty. The business-oriented publications ask whether this was a smart bottom-line decision, and generally point out that it will have little effect on tobacoo use. Some argue that this will help the vaping industry. The vast majority are "cookie cutter" pieces that simply applaud CVS and/or cite Obama's compliment and/or ANTZ authorities: those that do mention vaping tend to treat vaping as smoking. A small handful of others point out that CVS still sells soda and processed junk food. I'll just list one from US nat'l news mag Time which addresses vaping: nation.time

Yesterday the FDA announced that it would be spending $115M to fund a national advertising campaign targeting the use of tobacco products by minors. Here's the FDA's press release, which also links to YouTube videos: www.fda

So far, this hasn't seemed to have gotten much media traction, perhaps because it was overshadowed by CVS's decision. And since I generally don't report exclusively tobacco-related stuff here, unless it appears directly relevant to vaping - I'll list this for those who want to read more: https://www.

CVS’s choice to stay in an e-cig holding pattern until the FDA comes out with new guidance, a process the agency has delayed for months, reflects the current confusion about how to classify electronic cigarettes, which are not medicines like nicotine patches or gum, but aren’t exactly cigarettes either. They don’t fit neatly into either category.
