Hi,

There is a maintenance section but for some reason I am not allowed to post there?

Well, i just wanted to see if you could help me with this:

1) I have D901 & do topping. after much reading, I see most people advice rinsing cartridges/wicks/atomizer with hot water once per week, for hygiene/maintenance reasons. I only have the equivalent of 2 cigs per day so I assume that doing it once per month should be fine - would you advice this weekly cleaning, anyway?

2) my first atomizer (bought 1,5 months ago) has suddenly stopped heating up. Does that mean is 100% dead? I have not tried anything yet

Many thanks for your help,

E.I.

Many people are saying boil in water - check their # of posts. Boiling isn't good for 510's because of the wicking throughout the atty - lose that and you have yourself a 'dripping only' atomizer.

Today's my 9 month 'anniversary' - I've lost 3 attys - all pilot error. I don't clean attys unless there's a drop in performance and then I only use high proof pga/vodka which is used in some eliquid blends for cutting PG and VG. IOW, ok for inhalation and human consumtion and won't short out anything because it dries quickly. It dissolves the gunk and you can see the clear vodka turn yellow. When done, blow out by mouth and let dry. Re-prime and vape. Some will say you can see the 'particles' come out in boiling water - well try this - I did - use the vodka first, and then boil in water and see how many particles and 'gunk' you get - I got none after the vodka, because it was all dissolved without messing with the wicking in the coil and bridge.
