Hello everyone,

Im still researching on what I want, raising more questions. I want to start out with a 2 piece, manual batt, prefilled cartos, USA company. I guess I want to buy from a company who is "reliable", good service. This company thing in my head is really quit funny becuase all of these e-cigs are made in China, the folks in the US are simply distributors. At least that is what Im seeing. so customer service would be the key to look for in a USA comp. At any rate, I thought I was set on Vapor 4 life, but read a couple of bad reviews on their service.

The 2 piece style is another thing Im having a problem finding. Im so confused on the styles and lengths. Jesus, every time I think I have it down, I get confused all over again. I dont think Im even expaining to you what is in my head. I dont want to fuss with all of the stuff you pros do, I simply want to smoke, like I do now with analogs. I smoke the 100's length at present. I need a manual that truly explains what each model does, pros and cons, etc.

So if someone can tell me where is the best place to get a 2piece, good batt & carto life, great customer service etc. I would so truly appreciate it.:)

Cheers-Mac

The V4L is a KR808 model. They're good units and it looks like that would fit your requirements. V4L had about the best selection of prefilled carto's around so if you are going to stick with them you'll find more to choose from at V4L. You'll find a couple of bad reviews on most any supplier, that doesn't necessarily mean they're bad suppliers, it can simply mean someone didn't have their expectations met for whatever reason. From what I've read about V4L they're good. I haven't ordered from them so I can't speak from personal experience however.

Welcome to the ECF! A great place to start out would be Litecig with the KR808d-1. They have inexpensive kits and prefilled cartomizers and the KR808d-1 is an easily interchangeable standard device, meaning that you will have the option of buying cartos from lots of places. There are a lot of options available from other respected suppliers, though, so this is just one recommendation.

Litecigusa.net has about the best price on a KR808, which is a 2 piece design. It's been quite a while since I looked at what they had available in prefilled cartomizers and it looks like they've added some new flavors. They're a really good company and are based in Avis, PA so you'd probably get your stuff really quick. I'm right next door in Ohio and always get my orders from them 2 business days after I place them. I've ordered from them 5 or 6 times. The only problem I had with anything from them was a battery that was DOA, and they sent a replacement out and sent me a tracking number for it about an hour after I emailed them about it, and it wasn't even their fault it was bad, it was a manufacturing defect.

You can also just use a regular 510 manual battery and use cartos for it. There're also 280mAh batteries.

The standard 510 is 180mah, the 510 Mega batteries are 280mah. Yes you can use carto's on a 510 so that's another option. There's less flavor variety in the prefilled carto's though so that might be a limitation for the OP.

So the kr808d is a 510 model? These are the kinda of things that confuse me.

Also I looked at LiteCig and they do have some really good prices and the starter kit is the perfect kit for getting your feet wet. It has everything you need to get started and to learn at a very small price. The only thing I would add to this kit is a 5 Bat charger from TWicked, and a car charger. I dont think I really need a PCC.

Stick with the Vapor4Life (KR808D-1 in nice colors, many prefilled cartos) or a generic KR808D-1

re batteries, longer batteries have longer battery life.

shorty battery - 180mah (about the same short life as a 510 battery)
standard battery - 280mah
xl battery - 380mah
(and third party Elegant Easy can add a fat battery and cowl for Ego-look super long charge)

And I recommend manual batteries. No chance of turning on by accident from wind or vibration, no open hole in the end so you can use a 901 atty (or other atty with adapter) and drip tip if you want to try your batteries with an atty and carts/drip tip. The button will not bother you. After about an hour it will be like second nature. Press, 1/2-1 second later start dragging, let up before end of drag, and finish drag.

Your answers are all so consistant, your not sending me in a million different directions. Its amazing to have found such a great forum. I still wish there was a manual explaining all of the different styles. Just like I didnt know that the 808 was a differnt line than the 510. That is why a manual is needed for idiots like me is needed, I just cant wrap my head around all the different model numbers. "E-Cigs for Idiots" is a must! LOL!

Again I thank you all from the bottom of my toes. Cheers! Mac

I have had my kr808 from day one, it's the only one I use and I love it. It's a brilliant design, easy to use and get used to. The manual battery is the way to go, more control, IMHO.
You don't "drag" on them like a regular ciggie, you just inhale into your mouth, hold, then draw it real smooth into your lungs. Litecig and V4L both have good customer service. Litecig does have the better prices @ $30 for a starter kit that will get you started down the road to better living ;) I think there are some coupons here as well.

I'm still just a noob myself, but I started with a KR808D-1. For me they seemed easier because the atty & cart are all in one, called cartomizer. When they burn out or get gooped up, just toss and grab a new one. Cost is roughly $1.00-$2.00 each so not really very expensive. So far I'm one month in and still using it. Works for me. I don't do pre-filled cartomizers. Rather I purchase blanks and fill & refill them myself with whatever juice I want at the moment. Sure, it's a tiny bit more work, but gives you much more selection.

I seldom use batteries, so can't give any personal testimony for them other than to say get the biggest you can, i.e. longer life between charges. I use manual & automatic passthroughs at home, work & in the car. Of course, with the 2 Amp wall & car adapters.

All of this to say the KR808D-1 is working for me!

I just went through the Wonderful world of Vaping, I realized that I had a link to page 1 saved in my favs but never got around to reading it. Man, there is mucho information in that, and Im talking great information. I think that is the first thing us noobies should read. If I missed that in the noobie area I appoligize. Even though my eyes are falling out of my head, and my brain is totally saturated, I fill more empowered with the knowledge that "The Don" has put out.(I fill the need to kiss his ring) Geez, my brain is so whooped Im talking strange. I cant thank "JustInCase" enough for that link. I will prob print some of it out until I get more comfortable with all the lingo and styles. I still have a ways to go. Double Cheers, I need a glass of wine.
