This video convinced me to go the 2-piece route when I started over a year ago. I didn't want to be that guy with his tackle box of stuff - I just wanted something that worked. And I'm glad we did - I dabbled with atomizers and found cartridges and dripping to be fussy and inconsistent. The KR808D-1 got both of us off of cigarettes, and was very easy to use and maintain.

But in the last year, many new options have emerged, and now I have turned into that guy - LOL! I still use the KR808D-1 (from Vapor4Life) occasionally, and my wife still uses them full-time. But my primary device nowadays is a juice-feeding mod, the REO from reosmods.com - I have both the Mini and the Grand, and use them with either LR510 or LR306 atty's and drip tips. No constant dripping or filling cartridges or cartomizers, good battery life, devices that are solid as a rock, all-mechanical. They are out of stock right now, but some Mini's will be available starting in a few days from now. If you can get past the fact that they look nothing like a cigarette, this type of mod offers one of the most hassle-free vaping experiences available, IMO.

Ok, 510s from top to bottom..
Atty + Cart
Pink carto
Atty + standard black drip tip
Pretty red drip tip (I don't really use attys so didn't have one to spare. You get the general size difference though).

So.. yes, the carto makes your PV a "tad" shorter.
Hope that helps.

Maybe, I'll give the cartos a try... especially if I can pack more juice in and replace attys more often... 510 cart attys @ $7 a pop! yikes!
